How To Recruit People for MLM|How To Build MLM, Part 2

In the previous post we learned that when it comes to how to recruit people for mlm and how to build mlm, we must have the mindset that MLM is a coaching and mentoring business first and foremost. Many have been lead to believe it is all about selling, but this is not the case.

So, for today, let's talk a bit about buying leads. Many people in MLM buy leads. Unfortunately, sometimes lead lists are sold to a number of different companies, so your "hot" prospect might already have received numerous other calls of folks trying to get them in "on the deal".

This is not the best way to generate interested prospects for you biz. Why? Because it is not duplicatable. On a recent training call, I heard how one couple were paying $100 per lead and spending $1500 a month on leads! Yes, I am not getting kidding. Plus, they were spending $2,000 a month on the company product. The money they were generating from their team of 42 people was still not enough to cover the cost of the product.

Now. let's think here for a minute. How duplicatable is this for most people? $100 a lead and $2000 on products? Can you see when it comes to how to recruit people in MLM and how to build MLM, that this is a very bad strategy?

The bottom line is that first, you do not need to buy leads especially when it is much easier to generate your own. Second, it is crucial that you have a duplicatable system so that it is not difficult for you and your downline to recruit people for your mlm business.

So, when it comes to how to recruit people for mlm and how to build mlm, the business model of the company must be ethical, fair, and duplicatable!!

ANATOMY OF A SPORTS DRINK


Funk Roberts Fitness and INFINIT Nutrition are currently in the labs creating four sports drink formulas that will give you the edge on the competition and help you reach your fitness training goals.

Here is some information to help you learn about how sports drinks affect your performance.


Osmolality is a term used to describe the concentration of particles dissolved in a solution. It is a measure of density and is expressed in units of measurement known as osmoles or milliosmoles (one thousandth of an osmole), per 1000g of solvent, or mosm/kg. The more particles a rehydration beverage contains (such as carbohydrate, electrolytes, amino acids, anti-oxidants, protein or flavoring), the higher its osmolality.

Optimal absorption of fluids within the body happens when a sports drink solution is equal in terms of osmolality to what naturally occurs in the body. The osmolality of our body’s own fluids are approx 300mosm/kg water and are regulated by the intrinsic mechanisms within our own system.

Fluids supplied with osmolality above 300mosm/kg, (i.e. hypertonic solutions), cause not only delays in gastric emptying but also more importantly will cause fluid shifts from the body to the gut before absorption occurs. Such delays in rehydration introduce the real potential to delay and reduce performance. (Alonso, 1998, Hargreaves, 1991, Sowka et al, 2000).

Solutions that are isotonic, (having the same osmolality as our own body fluids), are without this effect. Solutions, which are marginally hypotonic, (that is are below the osmolality of the body), are known to be emptied quickly from the stomach and have the potential to be absorbed the most rapidly. (Leiper, 1998) As the osmolality of your sports drink increases above 300 mosmol/kg, efficient uptake from the GI tract is decreased. In fact, solutions with high osmolalities (hypertonic) can actually draw fluid out of the body.

For the everyday person, this is not a problem. However, for athletes who are turning over large volumes of fluids and electrolytes, it could literally mean life or death. (Or, perhaps at the least, finishing instead of a DNF).

Announcing the Open Source Google Apps Provisioning Toolkit



One of the steps every organization takes when adopting Google Apps is user provisioning. Quite simply, before users can log in, they need an account to log in to!

There are a number of methods a Google Apps administrator can use to add users, including one at a time and CSV file upload via the control panel, programmatically using the Google Apps Provisioning API, or via commercial identity management products like Sxip Access or PingFederate.

I'm pleased to share another option: the Apache 2.0 licensed Open Source Google Apps Provisioning Toolkit, created in collaboration with Google Enterprise Professional partner SADA Systems.

The Provisioning Toolkit was created for domains with many hundreds or thousands of users with requirements that fall in to one of two scenarios:
  1. bulk provisioning from user information stored in an existing LDAP, SQL database, or CSV file
  2. self-registration, where users input their own info and provision their own account using a web form
The Toolkit should run on any system that supports Apache, PHP, and Python, or any system that supports the VMware Player -- download here.

Once downloaded and configured via a preferences file, the Toolkit presents either 1) a web page that makes it easy for an admin to provision, update, and delete large numbers user accounts very efficiently, or 2) an authenticated web page allowing users to self-register. Note that while it can be used to create, update, and delete accounts, it's not designed for unattended sync of user information.

It's also worth mentioning the Toolkit joins a few other open source projects that work with Google Apps, including the Google Email Uploader for migrating Outlook mail to a Google Apps mailbox and the Google Apps LDAP Sync project.

Doing email, checking your calendar and accessing documents from mobile devices have become essential as more people around the world go online primarily from their phones, and as we all develop higher expectations for being productive from anywhere.

I thought it would be helpful to give a quick recap of how employees and students can use Google Apps when they're not at a computer, organized by type of device. Here we go....


Google Apps on BlackBerry smartphones

Gmail – The fastest way to use Gmail on your BlackBerry is with the installable Gmail application. To download and install Gmail for free, visit m.google.com/a from your BlackBerry web browser. Then, launch the application with the blue "M" icon () from your BlackBerry home screen or from the applications folder. If you also have a personal @gmail.com account, there's a separate free application (with a red "M" icon) so you can be signed in to both accounts at the same time.

Google Talk – There's a handy Google Talk application that lets you see who's online and instant message with contacts from your BlackBerry. Google Apps on the Apple iPhone

Gmail, Google Calendar and Google Docs – These apps are available with a streamlined web interface, where you can easily bookmark a single web address and seamlessly switch between applications. Alternatively, you can connect to your iPhone's Mail application to Gmail using IMAP for free. Learn more here and here about how to configure the iPhone's Mail application to do this.

Strange and Spooky Grave


Here is a bit of a weird spooky bit of trivia to usher in Halloween.

Florence Irene Ford Born: September 3, 1861 Died : October 30, 1871

Ten-year-old Florence died of yellow fever. During her short life she was very frightened of storms and whenever one rolled-in she would rush to her mother to find comfort.

Upon her death her mother was so struck with grief that she had Florence’s casket constructed with a glass window at the child’s head. The grave was dug to provide an area, the same depth of the coffin, at the child’s head, but this area had steps that would allow the mother to descend to her daughter’s level so she could comfort Florence during storms. To shelter the mother during storms, hinged metal trap doors were installed over the area the mother would occupy while at her child’s grave.

In this picture you can see the trap doors behind little Florence’s tombstone, which covers the stairway her mother used. They can still be opened today. In the mid 1950s a concrete wall was erected at the bottom of the stairway covering the glass window of Florence’s coffin to prevent vandalism. Kinda strange and spooky, eh?

Get a Butt Like a Cover Model



Ladies, many women seek to get that Jessica Alba Butt, “totally awesome”. While you might not be able to replicate it exactly, you can get very close. If you do the right things, no matter how out of shape you may be, follow this workout and stick to you, Funk can get you there.

To start you will have to do weight training, cardio and start eating smart. If you work out in the gym start with basics such as squats, leg presses, leg extensions and leg curls. You must learn good form so I suggest you start with no or low weight. Always warm up and always train heavy for 3-5 reps for 8-20 reps.



WOMEN SHOULD NOT FEAR HEAVY WEIGHTS!

If you train at home start with this routine

Dumbbell/Kettlebell Squats (hold then in your hands 3 sets - 15-20 reps
Kettelbell Meet the Queens 3 sets – 10 reps
Dumbbell/Kettlebell Lunge 3 sets – 15-20 reps
Stiff Legged Dumbbell Deadlift 3 sets – 15 – 20 reps

I suggest doing these 2 days per week (Tuesday and Friday)

If you are a gym rat, here is a 2 day per week workout that is used by some fitness professionals. To look like the best you have to train like the best.


Workout #1
Lying Leg Curls 3 sets – 15 reps
Stiff Legged Deadlift's 3 sets – 15 reps
Hack Squats (Machine) 3 sets – 8-15 reps
Leg Presses 3 sets – 8 – 15
Leg Extensions 3 sets – 15 reps

Workout #2
Squats 3 sets – 10 reps
Lunges 3 sets - 20 reps
Leg Press 3 sets - 10 reps
Step ups 3 sets – 10 reps
Lying Leg Curls 3 sets – 10-15 reps


Tips
1. Keep you glutes tensed through the range of motion
2. When you leg press, push through your heels not your toes
3. Descend slowly on all exercises
4. Ensure that your muscles are close to failure 2-3 reps before you complete each set

Cardio
Make sure you are doing a cardiovascular exercise 3 times per week. Again push your self to the limits.

Try 30 -45 minute sessions and change up the exercise so your bottom does not get used to it.

Eating
Eat small helping of proteins at a small helping of quality proteins every 3-4 hours throughout the day. These should consist of high quality powders, turkey, skim milk, chicken, fish or low fat cottage cheese. Eat 5-6 small meals per day. Take a good protein powder 1-2 times per day. Eat within an hour of waking in the morning. To get lean, mean and lose fat go very easy on the fats, especially saturated and trans-fats) and also light to moderate on the carbs. Avoid starches and sweets and eat vegetables, oatmeal, yams and some fruit. Eat carbs in the morning, not evening

Do the above along with upper body training and you will have an Alba Butt in no time

In Qantas Transit and guess what - the VOD system is not working

Long term readers are almost certainly bored by my rants at how the new Qantas entertainment Video on Demand system (VOD) never seems to be working. Well let me rant once again but this time with a new twist. In previous rants the system failed Airline wide. My disappointment was turned to anger when the airline dismissed the problem and showed no concern. BA then showed up Qantas by offering me hard cash compensation (ok vouchers) when one movie failed once at the end of the movie.

The new twist on this flight was that every seat on the plane had VOD working but mine and the guy next to me. That's right the number one supplier rant I have is the failed Qantas VOD. So much so that I am the number one hit on Google for Qantas VOD....and it is my seat that fails. Brilliant. Sometimes Qantas cannot win a trick.

They DHTML unblockable pop-ups. Yeap, these are those that can't be stop by pop-up blockers softwares. This are also call "Hoover Ads".

D.C. Circuit Bars Air Force From Disclosing Contractor’s Pricing Information in Response to FOIA Request

Whether pricing information furnished to the Government by a contractor is discoverable through a FOIA request was before the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals recently. In Canadian Commercial Corp. v. Department of the Air Force,"http://pacer.cadc.uscourts.gov/docs/common/opinions/200801/06-5310a.pdf", the court held that such information is protected from disclosure under Exemption 4 of the Freedom of Information Act.

In 2003, an unsuccessful bidder filed a FOIA request with the Air Force seeking a copy of the contract awarded to CCC which contained line-item pricing information. CCC objected on the basis that the line-item rates constituted trade secrets. The Air Force rejected CCC's contention and issued a decision letter indicating its intention to release the information. CCC filed a "reverse" Freedom of Information suit seeking to prevent the Air Force from releasing the information. It prevailed at the district court level, but the Air Force appealed.

On appeal, the D.C. Circuit noted that Exemption 4 of FOIA protects from disclosure "matters that are … trade secrets and commercial or financial information obtained from a person and privileged or confidential." 5 U.S.C. § 552(b)(4). Commercial or financial information is "confidential" if it is obtained from a person involuntarily and its disclosure would either "impair the Government's ability to obtain necessary information in the future; or .. cause substantial harm to the competitive position of the person from whom the information was obtained." The court held that line-item pricing meets this test.
