A new shade of green for mybloglog- come join me there!

Have you noticed that mybloglog has got a new green shade look? its gone from green to greener, isn't it? one thing everyone has noticed or its only me.. i was searching for the my recent visitors and there it was right below my profile picture section and above the sites section which i think it should of been below the sites section.. but we would notice it anyway:))

They've made many changes since the time i joined in 2007 and its for the better, now that's it more easier to navigate. of course the changes i liked were that the hot members have increased from 4, to 6, to 8! and many more. I don't like one thing, the fact that they've added the myblolgog action which shows every member's actions on the community! its not acceptable to me and i don't know to how many others, too.. I mean the latest post in okay but not the adding and messaging members action. Agree or not?

Anyway i love their community and am always looking forward to joining new blog communities and in return, want many more members to join mine. so will you join my community at http://www.mybloglog.com/buzz/community/nishas-world/ today? Your are most welcome!:)

The Future's So Bright...

Back in the 80's there was a hit song entitled "The Future's So Bright I Gotta Wear Shades".

The prediction may have been a bit premature then, but I think it's pretty accurate now... and I think we have high gasoline prices to thank for our bright future.

Gas was too cheap. There just wasn't any money in alternate energy technologies, so companies and researchers didn't aggressively pursue them. Just as with NASA's early efforts: "No bucks, no Buck Rogers".

Money makes the world go round, and now Petroleum isn't the cheapest kid on the block.

Here are just a couple of promising options that are finally cost effective:

Folks who think that the key to our Energy Future is to keep burning Fossil Fuels just don't get it... the answer isn't to suck more oil out of the ground.

Be A Mentor With A Servant's Heart

Chapter 1

Thought Become Things

It's amazing that as I read through this chapter, my
mind brings to life so many memories.Many of failure
and some of success.

It would be so easy for me to write about how my life
has been impacted by so many of the principles that
are talked about in this chapter alone. However for
the sake of time and to keep this lesson short, I
will focus on two words.

Faith and Fear

When reading the part about the small colored child
who went in and demanded fifty cents from Mr. Darby's
Uncle and refused to take no for an answer. It brought
to mind how I met my wife.

Here was a small child who stood with faith and
determination,stepped into fear to get what she wanted.

For me, after failing in two other relationships I just
about had given up. I was so afraid of what the next
relationship would bring. So fearful of what could
happen that my mind was stay focused on all the past
hurt and pain that I went through.

Finally I stopped focusing my energy on the negative
and started creating positive thoughts of what my ideal
relationship would be like. What I was willing to give
to the relationship and what I wanted in return.

I focused so much on it that I even started focusing
on the very person that I wanted to be with.

Here's the kicker. At this point in my life I had never
been in a social gathering with her, Sure I knew Amanda
from a seminar that I attended, but that was it.

Then through a series of unusual events we started
seeing more and more of one another through mutual
friends. Boy did I have a crush on her.

Finally, Sue, a friend of ours called me up and asked
me when I was going to tell Amanda how I was feeling.

Boy did it hit me then. FEAR. So much so that I was
sick to my stomach. At the same time there was about a
thousand volts of excitement coursing through my body.

I will always remember what our friend Sue said to me
on that call.

What you are feeling right now is what it feels like to
really risk in your life. What it means to step outside
your comfort zone.

So you have one of two choices turn and run from it, or
step into it.

Just like the little colored girl.

I decided to step into the fear that day. To take a
risk. Maybe the words were not perfect when I called
Amanda and maybe she could here the quivering in my
voice. But none of that mattered.

I stood in that fear, determined to say what I needed
to say and have faith enough that what was suppose to
happen would happen.

Faith and Fear at times go hand in hand. Many times
that fear is just the nudge of success setting in or
letting you know that you are getting close.

Well just like the little colored girl who walked out
with her fifty cents. That phone call to Amanda led to
our first date and eventually marriage.

Thoughts really do become things and everything that I
ever imagine and wished our marriage would be, has been
eclipsed by even greater outcomes.

Amazing what a little faith brings.

Live Limitless,
Ashley Bolivar
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The first time I was on the Mental Cleanse, I became
aware of all the negative influence that was in my life.
As I shut off the TV, radio, stopped being around
negative people, I really began to realize how much
my surroundings affect my thoughts. Then I met, I mean
really met my worst enemy, ME. Now this was harder to
shut down. A TV or a radio simply has a switch.
So I began to do my self talk throughout the day as
well as a daily ritual of meditation and things are
really starting to click in my blue brain.
I had a breakthrough in those first 90 days about my
fear of poverty. But what I realize now is that it
wasn't so much the fear, but the thoughts that I had
that manifested the fear. Here is what I mean.
I would think about what things would be like when I
was financially free. Because thoughts are things,
right? So I would think, When I am financially free,
then I will really be happy.
So it is almost as if I was saying to myself, I can't
be happy now if I am not financially free. So I am
realizing that I had it all backwords. You need to
first be happy. Smile. Feel wonderful. Be blessed.
Thank God for your blessings.
Now in this happy state that I am in, I am in a
vibrational place where I am sending out thoughts
of expectancy. I know it is coming but in Gods time,
not mine.
The universe will give me what I think about. So now
I choose to be happy and blessed. I choose to expect
abundance. And abundance I receive.
It's funny how we send vibrations out to the universe.
As if the universe wanted to give me proof...
I came across a book at the library by Deepack Chopra.
I turned to a random page and he was talking about what
we all really want is the same thing... to be happy.
When you have a conversation with yourself and ask
the question, what do I want? Answer that question
and then ask yourself why? Then answer that question
and then again ask why. You will always come to the
same answer. "Because I want to be happy."
It works like this...
"I want to be Rich."
Why?
Because, I want to not have to worry about bills.
Why?
Because I will live longer and not feel stressed.
Why?
Because I want to be here to see my grandkids.
Why?
Because I want to enjoy them and my kids. I want to
live my life. I want to be happy.
You see it isn't about being Rich. What I really want
is to be Happy!
We all want the same thing and we will all come to
the same answer when asking the question, Why.
Why not be happy now? Live as if I am already rich?
Because, you know I am. I am Rich. I am blessed. Live
an abundant life. The universe will only see me as rich
and prosperous and it will have no choice but to send
me what is expected.
I think, Michael, This is what you call owning your
life.
I appreciate you.
(Ad)Word of the Day: Keyword Insertion
For today's installment of (Ad)Word of the Day, we're looking at keyword insertion from the AdWords Glossary:
Keyword insertion is an advanced feature used to dynamically update your ad text with your chosen keywords. You insert a special modification tag into your ad text to enable this feature for your ads.
Keyword insertion is a powerful feature that can save you time and also help make your ad text more relevant. This feature will automatically customize your ad to a user's query, which means your ad is more likely to attract a user's attention. And, since ad text that matches a user's search terms is shown in bold, your ads will stand out even more.
Even with these benefits, keyword insertion shouldn't be used all the time. We recommend reading this article and going through this tutorial before you start using keyword insertion.
App to School!
This week our Google Apps for Education team is attending the Campus Technology Conference in Boston. This 4-day gathering focuses on emerging technologies in higher education, both in the classroom and campus-wide. As anyone in the education field can attest, the business of teaching -- and learning -- is changing very quickly. We're continually impressed and excited by all of the innovation happening in this space. In response to a new educational ecosystem, we're also delighted and proud to see two of our Apps Education customers, Arizona State University and Abilene Christian University, recognized for their implementation of cutting-edge technologies designed to serve the next generation of students.
Google Apps Education Edition is gaining momentum: more than a million users worldwide have adopted it to embrace the possibilities of technology in education. Our great customers are at the core of our mission, which is why we're in Boston to help kick off the new school year with a few of the thousands of schools who have chosen Apps. We are also welcoming more than one dozen new universities of all sizes, from all over the country as customers of Google Apps. While at the conference, we also announced our latest endeavor to showcase some of the universities deploying Google Apps. This September, we will head "App to School" by embarking on a cross-country road trip (in a retrofitted, eco-friendly bus, of course). We're looking forward to meeting students to talk about Google Apps and hear how they're using our productivity tools on and off campus.
Since launching Apps Education Edition, we've had great conversations with CIOs at leading universities about the benefits of bringing Google technology on campus. The "App to School" road trip extends that conversation to where the rubber meets the road (pun intended): to what used to be called "end users" -- the people who actually use our technology every day. One of the things we've found to be true is that we should always focus on the individual. We hope to learn how the folks we meet are using our products in cool ways that we might not have imagined. Learn more about Google Apps Education Edition.
We look forward to seeing some of you on the bus. You can also check out our road trip route.
MLM Education-A Special Invitation from Michael Dlouhy
When it comes to mlm education, my friend and mentor Michael Dlouhy, author of the ebook, Success in 10 Steps, is a wonderful resource of information.
After all, why wouldn't he be with over 30 years in the field?
He has a special invitation to all network marketers. If you choose to accept it, you will change your life.
Now, just for you, your special invitation.
Hello Professional Network Marketers,
Michael Dlouhy here with Mentoring For Free.
Your Success will happen when You accept the
Personal Responsibility for Your Success.The
quote below from Mac Andersen of The Simple
Truths Newsletter says it best.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Something magic happens when we accept personal
responsibility for our behavior and our results.

But, it's not easy, because it's human nature to
"pass the buck". I ( Mac ) know there have been
times in my life when my business was strugg-
ling where I found myself blaming others, blaming
the economy, blaming this, blaming that!

But as I've gotten older(and a little wiser) when
things go wrong in my business, or my life, I can
always find the culprit...in the mirror.

In every instance, it always comes back to choices
I've made in my life that put me exactly where I am
today.... I have to say, that this one "tweak" in
my attitude may sound like a little thing, but it
has made a big difference in my life.

What does all this have to do with change? Plenty!

As a manager, one of the most important things you
can do in times of change is to get your people to
understand how their taking personal responsibility,
their recognizing problems as opportunities, will
not only help the company, but will help them as
individuals. In other words, sell the idea of...
what's in it for them?

Sharing your ad space

A number of publishers have asked us if it's acceptable to place multiple publishers' ad code on the same page or site. Often they'll run into this issue when two AdSense publishers manage a site together and both want to display their ads, or if a site owner hosts content and ads from other publishers on the same page as their own.

The answer is that yes, we do allow this. But before you place your ad code on the same page or site as another publisher, here are a few important points to keep in mind:
  • The maximum number of products per page will remain the same.
  • If you don't own the site, you'll need to receive permission from the site owner to display your ads on their pages.
  • We're unable to divide earnings between accounts, so any revenue generated will be credited to the account associated with the ad unit that was clicked or viewed.
  • Any shared site that displays Google ads must also comply with our program policies.
  • You're responsible for the content of any page where your ad code appears. Before placing your ad code on another publisher's site, we recommend reviewing the site for any policy violations.
And one final tip before giving your code to another publisher -- try using our Allowed Sites feature to monitor where your ads are appearing and keep your account in good standing.

Calcutta was under threat yesterday and i went out with the least knowledge of the news!!!

Terror had struck in Calcutta last night, actually the whole day, and it wasn't only in Calcutta but the whole of India before Calcutta was threatened.. i don't want to mention specific terms or names here but if you may want to go have a look at news to see whats happening in India.. please go Here and please friends, please pray for all the innocent lives taken by some brutal and insane people!

I was terrified too, as i went out to my in-laws place yesterday and its such a co-incidence as i usually don't move out of my home only to find out later in the news that.. Read here for shocking news!.. pardon me, sometimes i don't like to mention terms and names as i said so i use links and I hope you will visit the sites and read the shocking news, also pray for those in distress... please...

Ok, thank god our city was safe and nothing as such happened but the cruel intentions were carried out in other cites like Bangalore, Ahmadabad etc which were quite shocking as i cant believe what the innocent have to go through, why cant they target their actual enemies? Calcutta used to be the safest place, i've ever known but now we the entire city is horrified with people thinking twice whether to venture out of their homes or not.. its only god who can protect us and keep us safe.. Am praying this horrifying phase dies down soon.

I don't intend to create disturbance in the minds of my readers but just want to make people aware of the dangers lurking in our country and my city.. Why cant the world join hands to make this world a better place.. Time will only, tell..

A Simple Bidding and Estimating Technique...

I get emails all the time asking for bidding and estimating advice... Some go so far as to tell me I am selfish because I don't give away my system for free!

It's true that knowing the secrets I share in my #1 rated Bid-to-Win Estimating System will surely put you light-years ahead of other painters in the field, but they are simply too valuable to give away for free...

I busted my butt for years, working for below average pay (paying my dues and eating a lot of crow) to earn the respect of my mentor.

My neighbor runs a very successful home improvement business that currently does about a million dollars a year in business...

They focus mainly on re-models, roofing and siding as well as custom decks. His company subs out the work to local carpenters and handymen and this is how he goes about bidding jobs.

Please understand that this is NOT the best way to bid paint jobs, but it will work OK to get you started. You will not be able to grow using this method, but you will turn a profit which you can then invest into your copy of Bid-to-Win.

His bidding system works like this:

He charges $200 per day per man. So an eight hour day pays $25 an hour. Not great, but not bad either. The subcontractors don't have much in terms of overhead, there is no marketing costs or customer service to deal with. They simply go in and do their job.

Let's say there is a bathroom re-model and the estimate is for four days... Here is how he would calculate his bid:

1 subcontractor for 4 days = $800 ($200 per day)
Materials cost = $1400
Overhead expenses 20% = $440
Profit for the company 30% = $792

Total Bid for Re-Model = $3432.00

Now $200 a day is not a bad income at all - but using this method is very limiting to you! You could most likely go in and paint this bathroom in one day (walls, ceilings and trim).

My neighbor passes along all the painting leads to me and allows me to bid the jobs through my own business rather than subbing them to me through his. We have an on-going working relationship that works out great! I refer jobs to him and he does the same for me.

Using the formula I reveal in the Bid-to-Win Estimating System this job paid out like this.
  • The paint job took one complete 8 hour day and was bid at $550
  • Materials cost $102.55
  • Overhead expenses around $50
  • Total pre-tax profit $397.45 or $49.68/hour
Not bad for an easy days work! As you can see there is a BIG difference in knowing how to properly bid and estimate paint jobs, but if you are just getting started, using the method of $200/day plus materials & overhead can give you a nice starting point.

As I mentioned using the $200/day bidding method makes it very hard to grow your business because the profit margins are quite small, but on the other hand earning $1000 a week working for yourself is a lot better than earning $600 a week working for a boss!

If you are ready to go out on your own you will benefit greatly from my painting business building success systems!

The complete Bid-to-Win Estimating System is sold as a stand alone course for those of you who already have your marketing in order... BUT it is also INCLUDED in the Painting for Profits - Painting Business Building Success System as a FREE bonus...

Painting for Profits lays out 16 proven, low cost marketing tips, techniques and strategies in step-by-step detail! Painting for Profits is a complete painting business building success system which includes a quick-start guide, employee management and development system, office management system, marketing system as well as the Bid-to -Win Estimating system - all in one package!

Common questions: Impressions past page 1

From time to time we like to address common questions that many of our advertisers have. Here's a frequent one about how ad impressions are calculated:

Q: If my ad appears on the third page of a search result, does it count as an impression if a user does not go to the third page of search results?

A: No; impressions are only counted when a user visits a page that the ad appears on.

Marketing Experiment: Burger King Found The Holy Grail of Marketing

By Luis Galarza - Internet Marketing And Make Money Online Tips.

It Is Possible That Burger King Found The Holy Grail Of Marketing?

Well in 2006 Burger King turn a marketing experiment into a marketing hit. Before I continue, what do you think will be the holy grail of marketing? What about getting a large amount of people spend hours viewing and interacting with your brand, and even have them paid you to do it.

Wow! Just imaging a powerful such marketing strategy will be, how much new customers will you company generate, how many more sales, and what about doubling your income and profits, because people is paying you to view your brand and marketing message. Well, my dear online marketers this is exactly what Burger King did. By mixing a good design and develop video game with their branding strategies.

They actually have their customers paid $3.99 for each video game, which feature their King, the Whopper Jr., and the Subservient Chicken. The game development aim to the most popular video game console on that year, which is still the number one today, the Microsoft Xbox.... the video game have the BK characters riding racing small motor-bikes, bumper cars, and also you need to give hamgurgers to people, the game became so popular that it sold over 2 million copies in about 4 weeks, which made it the best selling xBox games that was launch on the holiday season in 2006. Plus, was part of the top 10 best selling video games of that year.

Did the marketing experiment worked... Yes, it did! Burger King increase sales on that quarter and pull a 9% increase on their revenue.

As you see while others were talking about video game advertising or Gamevertising, BK were taking that new brand marketing channel into the next level, by making it's own game, that turn into a viral marketing bullet.

As a marketing beginners with not much money to invest, how can you still use such a good marketing strategy?

This can be a big question, but before I give you some tips on how you can apply such a strategy and find your own holy grail, you need to understand that this post it's mean to inspire the creativity in you, it's about thinking different ways to have your customers engage with your brand, and build trust.

TIPS: A few simple things you can do to gain some viral marketing momentum for your Internet business.

1.- Go to sites like Elance.com, Guru.com, and Rent-A-Coder, and hire a video game developer to create a small but fun video game that is related to your company. And maybe make you the main character in the game.

2.- You can create something that doesn't compete with your main offerings, and give it away for free. Remember that have to be something that can carry your brand and site URL with it. Also, need to be something that people is looking for, because if nobody is looking for what you created, your campaign will fail from start.

3.- If you decide on using online video, to have the same effect as Burger King video game did, you need to make a long video with a lot of quality information. Ad, slide show, images, or at least a white board to help people interact better with with you.

I hope this few tips can get you started, and maybe find a marketing holy grail that will generate massive web traffic and revenue for you.

Bottomline:

The Top Innovators are growing in 2008! You read it right! They are definitely doing better than 2007. These innovators are not impacted by the tough U.S. economy. The main reason: New innovations driving growth and creating new business, growth in global revenue owing to better global strategy and market penetration, and operational excellence throughout the enterprise in a tight market. Innovation Index Group maintains a BUY rating on these top innovators of the Innovation Index.

2008 Outlook

Innovation Index Group remains conservatively bullish for Q4, 2008. There are many positives for the second half of 2008 – the top innovators have already delivered good to strong results so far and traditionally have their best quarters in the second half of the year; the stock markets typically rally in the election year in the fourth quarter, and we believe that the stock markets have bottomed out; finally, all the initiatives led by the Federal Reserve, IRS, and the U.S. Treasury will begin to show net positive effects on the economy and the markets.
