Advice from the Storage Auction Momma

I received a comment recently on a previous post about Product Sourcing with Self-Storage Unit Auctions. The person who commented wanted some examples from our own experience and wondered why people would buy old things and sell them again. My friend Karen Davis, author of Storage Auction Momma, was kind enough to leave a reply which I thought was worthy of its own post. Here's what Karen said:
Hey Susan, if you don't mind, I thought I would drop in and answer the question "Could you give some examples of your own experience?"

But first, let me respond as to the benefits of buying "old things" and selling them again. Benefit number one: To make some money!! One of the secrets to making money is to Buy Low and Sell High. It doesn't matter whether a product is old or new, used or not, As long as there is someone out there wanting to buy it and you can get it for less than they will pay and resell it, you can turn a profit. This goes not matter where or how you are sourcing (finding) your products.

Benefit number two: It is good for the environment!! If no one buys those storage units that must be auctioned off, all that stuff goes into the landfill. Some of it may end up there anyway, but I put most of it back into use. Someone gets a bargain on something they need and I make GREEN money while being GREEN at the same time.

Benefit number three is really more of a comment: The stuff in storage unit auctions isn't necessarily old. Some of it may be new or unused. At my first storage auction, what caught my eye was a whole box of special Barbies - and they were in mint condition still in the box. There were enough to set aside for birthday presents for my daughter's friends and still some left over to sell.

Another storage unit yielded a boatload of high end Christmas decorations including Christmas Village pieces still in the boxes and Radko Christmas ornaments. Check those on ebay and you will see why I was excited.

I have found a Craftman tool box complete with tools, new artwork that still had tags on each piece upwards of $200, complete beds, nice sofas, designer clothes, videos/dvds, china cabinets and an antique desk that was worth $700.

In another unit, I found a solid gold heavy link necklace in a box of junk that otherwise went to the dump. You just never know.

Hope that helps!!

Thanks, Karen, for that great response!

How to Use Forums to Market Your Online Home Business

There are many ways to boost your business online - writing articles, search engine optimization, acquiring incoming links - the list goes on; but one of the best ways which is often overlooked is to find forums relating to your line of business and join in with them.

Being a frequent participant on forums can increase links back to your website, increase your chances of being seen as an expert, increase your mailing list, sell more of your product, get new affiliates to sign up, make you new friends - in fact there's not a lot to be said against joining a few forums. However, there are some things to think about before you get started:

DO:

1. Research each forum before you join. Make sure it's relevant to your business and see if the participants are in your target market. Look at how much traffic the forum gets. How busy is it? - there's no point in joining a dead forum with very few posts.

2. Check the forum rules before you post. Some forums will allow you to post adverts for your business while others will object. Check if you are allowed to add a signature at the end of your posts - adding a small biography with a web link to your business is a great way to increase incoming links to your site and to get more traffic.

3. Be polite and treat everyone the way you would like to be treated. Even though you don't meet people face to face you will build up some great relationships if you take the time to give good answers to questions, to be helpful and to respect other people's opinions. And every post you answer adds to your reputation. Use your posts to give genuine, useful advice, not just to plug your business and you'll soon be looked on as an expert.

4. Don't be afraid to ask for advice - no-one knows everything and sometimes you will need help.

5. To make the most of your time on the forums, allow yourself only a certain amount of time each day. Read only the posts that are relevant and that interest you and post answers quickly before moving on. It's very easy to spend the whole day on forums and not get anything else done.

DON'T:

1. Never, ever use a post to blatantly advertise your business, particularly if the forum rules don't allow it. Nothing will damage your reputation faster than spamming a forum.

2. Don't go through the list of forum members, collect email addresses and send them unsolicited mail. At best you'll be banned from the forum and at worst the owners might report you to your ISP.

3. Don't ever get involved in a flame war (this is when a heated conversation on a forum boils over and degenerates into nothing but an exchange of personal insults). It might be really satisfying to say what you think about someone, especially if they've been getting on your nerves, but just imagine what other people will think of you if you do.

In conclusion, treat people online like you treat people in real life. Think of it as a networking event that's taking place on your computer and don't forget that other posts on the forums are made by real people with real feelings.

You already know how to make friends and new contacts face to face. Apply what you already know to online networking and you could be enjoying great success with a global audience.

Easy does it with online packaging and cross sell

easyJet announced today the launch of easyJet Holidays with the hotel section being powered by First Choice's Hotelopia. Here is the Travelmole article and the confirmation of Hotelopia's involvement.

An airline doing a deal with a hotel provider is nothing new. In fact we have seen great twists recently with Singapore airlines finally agreeing that they needed outside help with hotels by signing with GTA's Octopustravel and Ryanair signing up with the "undead" white label arm of Expedia (called World Wide Travel Exchange or WWTE). The difference here is the the quality of the integration.

I spoke recently in this post on what airlines need to do to stay on top in online travel. My number one suggestion was to focus on cross sell. Crucially to not treat hotel partners as a simple white label relationships or an ad sales deal where all the airline focused on was the size of the commission cheque at the expense of functionality, choice, price and all the other things that are important in building customer relationships. Pure white-label deals leave open a functionality and convenience gap that online agents (OTAs) with decent screen scraping/API connections and packaging technology can fill. Airlines that did not participate in the GDS had a presume insurmountable advantage over OTAs as the OTAs had no access to inventory. Now that aggregation technologies have found ways around the GDS non-participation, this advantage is disappearing. Now it is smart OTAs that can have the advantage as they can package and cross sell where airlines with dull white-label arrangements cannot.

The easyJet integration is a great step in maintaining the advantage over OTAs. I searched a random flight from Luton to Edinburgh (June 30 out, 7 Aug back) on both the easyjet.com site and the easyjetholiday site. Through the cross sell on the "regular" site after I searched for flights and the full holiday functionality of holiday site I received the same offers at the same prices. The process was seamless and matched the experience of booking through an Expedia or Orbitz (though I did not complete the booking so have to assume that all goes well once credit cards are entered).

This focus on product, experience and price is in contrast to Ryanair who have no cross sell and have done little to alter the look of their WWTE product other than header, footer and colours.

Congrats to easyJet on this launch.

Am not predicting the death of Ryanair.com, Qantas.com, Virgin-blue.com and other big traffic airlines sites that have not embraced product focused cross sell but will predict that for so long as these airlines take a casual attitude to complementary products they will be providing market opportunities for the online agents they hate so much.

Apple iPhone Rising - June 29 Liftoff - Top Ten Innovations

Top Ten iPhone Innovations introduced by Apple's Creativity

Apple iPhone launches today, June 29, 2007.

Here are the Top Ten innovations introduced in iPhone by Apple:

1. Make calls by "simply pointing at a name or number." Get out of here... no buttons to click. No clicking umpteen times before you find the number you want to call. Point and Call. Welcome to the new touchscreen interface of iPhone. If you love the iPod interface, iPhone will only make it better.

2. Visual Voicemail, is definitely an industry first, a new innovation, that "lets users look at a listing of their voicemails, decide which messages to listen to, then go directly to those messages without listening to the prior messages." How useful is this? How often and how long you have to wait to hear that all important message from your very important friend, or boss until all the messages before are heard? If you are a frequent cell phone user, the answer is all the time. Apple understands the users' frustration as they check their voice mails, and Visual Voicemail will change the way you listen to your voice messages, and even save you minutes spent in waiting to hear that all important message. Oh, and you can even ignore earlier messages from that certain friend.

3. SMS move over. No more clicking 3 or 4 or more times to get to that letter that you want to type now. How about a touch keyboard that is predictive, full QWERT, and even prevents mistakes. Oh my. Finally, SMS will become easier, simpler, faster, friendlier, and bigger!! If you love SMS, iPhone is it. Recent reviewers have indicated that SMS on the iPhone needs a bit of getting used to; but once you do, you won't go back to the old ways.

4. A handy 2 megapixel camera, with that all important Photo management software. Finally. Now you can organize the photos you take and use them for wallpapers, emails, upload and download them to your PC or MAC, and watch them on a 3.5-inch widescreen.

5. A widescreen iPod. How wide? 3.5-inch wide. You love iPod. You would love iPhone even more. It takes iPod to the next level. Literally. iPhone promises that you will now "touch" your music, videos, photos, songs, artists, albums, playlists - all at the click of a finger. And now you can enjoy all those TV shows in cool landscape mode. Add YouTube to the video mix, and now we are talking!!

6. Cover Flow in iPhone introduces a new way to "browse music library by album cover artwork, for the first time." When navigating your music library on iPhone, you are automatically switched into Cover Flow by simply rotating iPhone into its landscape position. Now, you can enjoy the album in the same way as you buy it from the music store.

7. iPhone brings your Rich Email with the graphics, photos and visuals along with text from your friends, family or work to the phone. The emails are downloaded in the background while you work, browse, message or call, and will work on most POP3 and IMAP services. And to top it off, Yahoo! Mail is integrated and readily available for the iPhone.

8. Web Browsing as good as computer. This could be a stretch. Although iPhone comes with the Safari (TM) web browser which provides all the features of web browsing for the computer on the iPhone. Could this be the last straw that finally breaks the camel's back, and brings the hordes of wireless phone users to web browsing? Not only you can see a web page as it was designed to be seen, iPhone allows you to "easily zoom in to expand any section by simply tapping on iPhone's multi- touch display with their finger." And with the Quad-Band GSM technology along with EDGE and Wi-Fi means "you can surf the web from just about anywhere," and even "automatically sync bookmarks from their PC or Mac."

9. Google Maps. On iPhone. No way. Yes way. Google's groundbreaking maps service and iPhone's amazing maps application tied together "offering the best maps experience by far on any pocket device." Easily and conveniently view maps, satellite images, traffic information and even get directions. Finally, you have everything local and global covered.

10. Artificial Intelligence. iPhone that thinks and senses and becomes one with what you do. iPhone has "advanced built-in sensors -- an accelerometer, a proximity sensor and an ambient light sensor" that "detects when the user has rotated the device from portrait to landscape, then automatically changes the contents of the display accordingly, with users immediately seeing the entire width of a web page, or a photo in its proper landscape aspect ratio." Are you kidding me? No wait. There's more. iPhone also has "proximity sensor detects when you lift iPhone to your ear and immediately turns off the display to save power and prevent inadvertent touches until iPhone is moved away." Wait a moment. Finally, "iPhone's built-in ambient light sensor automatically adjusts the display's brightness to the appropriate level for the current ambient light, thereby enhancing the user experience and saving power at the same time."

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) is one of the top 20 innovators of The Innovation Index, and is the Number One Innovator for 2007 as per the rankings of the Top 50 Innovative Companies in the world by BusinessWeek.

Alisha on her 8th month

when baby was just about few days, i sent out greetings to my beloved ones with this poem that is posted below....

This little tiny baby
Was sent from God above
To fill our hearts with happiness
And touch our lives with love
He must have known
We'd give our all
And always do our best
To give our precious baby love
And be grateful and so blessed

shes 8Th months now, i cant help but to jot down how shes the princess of our lives... with all our attention and focus on her but that's not a problem.tries to eat up everything she lays her eyes upon and even a fraction of second is too less for that move of hers to get her into trouble! my eyes in every direction... one two the right and one to the left but no, i cant let her away from my eyes.

she drags herself around the place and when you look at her, she smiles giving that "no mamma am not into naughtiness, am just trying to get myself to crawl".now doesn't that imaginary explanation sound so convincing??

ah, know what? shes just recently started to imitate me... i cough, she follows... i say no no, she follows but this time in action... i squeeze my eyes and stick my tongue out, she does that too... oh my god! that something so mesmerizing that i have to reward her with a kiss and hug each time.

her diet this month is a baby food(cerealac), milk and a preparation made of rice and dal(khichdi).. will introduce more nutritious foods for her this month as shes just began to relish the regular ones.

did i tell you, she has cut her four teeth but no problem with her during the time, as I'd heard stories about babies being troublesome and sick.i didn't even realize she was teething until i saw two white, stone alike peeping at me but now its four.i guess, every baby is different and shes unique!!

lots more coming up from baby and my life, dont miss it.

How to Find Potential Leaders for Your Network Marketing Business

In network marketing, true success is obtained when you find one true leader. This is someone who:

*will make sure their distributors order products at the end of the month.

*never complain about problems or areas of concern to their downline.

*never complains or whines to their upline sponsor or to their company

*has created his or her own goals

*willingly conducts opportunity meeting for you when you are away

*is in personal control of their attitude and does not let negative people and other outside influences control his success.

The question becomes, how do you sort through distributors who are interested in building a business and find that solid leader potential? In reality, it is not as difficult as you may think. Let’s take a close look at how this is done and save you wasting time on someone who is not really leadership material.

Tip Number One: Have the potential leader take the sincerity test. You likely are thinking, what is that? Well, all it is asking your potential leader how they feel about the business. Then, listen to their response, very, very carefully.

You see, there are three types of commitment. The first commitment is when somebody says, “We’ll I’ll try.” If your potential leader says this, it’s a bad sign. It’s a very weak commitment because your potential leader is really saying, “I’ll just do this now because it is convient. If doesn’t appear to require a lot of work” Then, if you talk to them more and they hear about some of the work involved, they might say something like, “I just want to get rich. I’m not worried about training.”. Now do you see why this person is not a true leader?

The second type of commitment is, “I’ll do the very best I can.” You also ask this person how they feel about the business and then listen. In reality , this person will do their very best. However, if his best does not take him to the top, he might say something like, “I did the very best I can. Too bad it didn’t work out.” Then, they might just quit. This is not a response you want to hear about a six month investment in helping them. What you really had was just a good distributor.

The last type of committmen is, “I’ll do whatever it takes.” You ask this person how they feel about the business and then listen. A true potential leader will not get discouraged and quit when his friends tell him “no”. He or she will think, I just need to talk to more people. If he talks to 100 people and nobody is interested, he says, “I just need to do more work on my presentation” or “It’s time for me to try a different marketing strategy.”

Now, can you see the difference with these three different level of commitments? Very few people will make a total commitment. However, when one does, you will know you have found a rare individual who you can invest your effort and time to help them.

Remember, it just takes one leader to make you financially independent. If you are blessed to and develop two leaders, then you have wealth. So, don’t waste time trying to help people who are not committed. You will end up frustrated, tired, and make no progress in your network marketing business. Instead, invest your valuable time in mentoring people who have total commitment and are eady to do what it takes. Doing this will take you on that road to success in your business.

Referrals 2.0 launches to all AdSense publishers

This past March, we launched a referrals beta to test the feature and iron out some wrinkles. Now that we've finished our testing, we're pleased to announce that referrals 2.0 will soon be available to all AdSense publishers in referrals-supported languages.

While some of you may already be familiar with referrals for Google products, this launch will greatly expand the inventory and functionality of referrals for AdSense publishers. Below we've highlighted a few of the key benefits of referrals 2.0:
  • Expanded product inventory: While many of you have had success referring one of our Google products, some of you weren't able to find a product that fit the context of your site. Referrals 2.0 offers products from thousands of AdWords advertisers, so you can find the right ads for your sites.

  • Category and keyword targeting: With thousands of products available, it can be difficult to decide which ads will perform best on your site. That's why we give you the option to refer products by category and keyword. You can narrow down the types of ads you want to display and let AdSense figure out which ones will perform best on your site. Whether you want ads for a specific category, advertiser, or product, referrals 2.0 will give you the control to decide.

  • Ad unit optimization: It can be tricky picking the best ads for your site, so we've included ad unit optimization for referrals. When you create a new referral ad unit, simply select the Pick best performing ads option. We'll then compare your selected ads to other relevant ads, and serve the ads we expect to perform best on your site.

  • Better targeting for pages with multiple themes: With standard contextual targeting, ads may not match up directly with the text around them if there are a number of themes on the page. With referrals, you can select unique “keywords” for each ad unit to narrow the targeting directly to the theme you want. Better targeting means higher earnings for your site.

  • Greater compensation for high-quality traffic: Since referrals are paid on a cost-per-action (CPA) basis, your traffic matters. If the traffic you send to advertisers is more likely to turn into a completed sale or lead, you will earn more with referrals.

  • Add your seal of approval: Unlike AdSense for content ads, our program policies allow you to make specific references to referral ads on your site. If you endorse the product that you are referring, feel free to let your users know. By adding your personal review of the products you refer, you can help your users make more informed choices.
To get started with referrals, click the AdSense Setup tab in your account, then click Referrals. If you don't see referrals 2.0 right away, please check back in a few days, as the feature will gradually become available in all accounts over the next few weeks. Please also keep in mind that for some languages, advertisers are just getting started so ad inventory may be limited at this time. We encourage you to check back frequently to see new offers.

If you have any questions about how to add a new referral unit to your site, be sure to check out the updated referrals section of the Help Center.

UPDATE: Clarified that referrals 2.0 is currently only available in referrals-supported languages

"Enterprise" Google Gadgets

I continue to be amazed at the pace of innovation and interest around gadgets in general, and Google Gadgets in particular. With thousands of Google Gadgets in the directory and the top gadgets getting tens of millions of pageviews per week, something is clearly working :)

So much so that yesterday we announced Google Gadget Ventures, a new pilot program designed to fund 3rd party gadget developers. This is a great way to help developers pursue the growing opportunities around gadgets.

Speaking of opportunity, to date, the majority of gadget development has focused on consumer or individual productivity use cases. We're seeing increasing interest in gadgets that access password protected information, often pulled from line of business applications behind a firewall.

Interest here is particularly strong amongst Google Apps users, since the Google Apps Start Page effectively gives organizations iGoogle on their own password protected domain.

For example, we're showcasing some of these "enterprise" gadgets in the Start Page category of the Enterprise Solutions Gallery. Entries include Appirio's gadgets for Salesforce.com and LimitNone's gadgets for corporate directories or internal RSS feeds.

If you're interested in developing gadgets, check out the gadget developer pages.

If you'd prefer to have someone create an enterprise gadget for you, there's a growing list of 3rd parties specializing in this type of development in the professional services category of the Enterprise Solutions Gallery.

Summer Sales Slow on eBay? Consider These Suggestions

We see it every year about this time, on forums and on group posts: “My eBay sales are so slow this summer. I’m really discouraged. What can I do?” Here are a few suggestions.

Remodel. Look at your listings and your store, if you have one, with a fresh eye. Think back to all of the advice you’ve heard but not taken and consider applying it. Try something different for a change. It couldn’t hurt and might just help. I’m talking about advice such as taking better pictures with better backgrounds or using more pictures; using excellent keywords and all 55 characters of every title; not centering the text in your descriptions; using a properly-sized font, not too big and not too little; using a font color that is easy to read; including well-written, non-threatening, professional-sounding shipping, payment, and return policies in your listings; or working on building your brand by standardizing colors and templates so people will recognize your listings in a crowd.

Reassess. If your products aren’t selling right now, why might that be? Are they just one item in a gazillion with nothing that makes them stand out or rise above the crowded marketplace? Find a high-volume seller who sells similar items. Examine those listings and try to identify what makes their items sell when yours don’t. Search for items similar to yours on completed listings and take a look at the ones that sold. What’s so special about them? Could listing/closing time have anything to do with it? Did they have a Buy It Now option whereas your items do not? What does that seller do that you don’t do? Does he or she offer a newsletter? Do you? Don’t ever copy another seller’s listings, but take notes about what appeals to you as a buyer and incorporate some of those ideas into your own listing and marketing practices. Determine what you can do to make your store and your items irresistible to your shoppers.

Restock. Sell something else. If your listings are perfect and need no improvement at all but the items are still not selling, consider the fact that not everything listed on eBay sells. If it hasn’t sold within a reasonable period of time, consider donating it or having a yard sale. Perhaps your products are out of season right now and should be put on the shelf for awhile and re-listed later. Think a month or two ahead to the next holiday or, during the summer, to back-to-school time and find items that should sell well then and get those listings ready. Or, think in a totally opposite season; have a Christmas in July sale or list items with a gift-giving theme.

If you’re not busy this summer shipping out sold items, you probably have some time on your hands. Use the time wisely by studying both the market and marketing principles. Start with our remodel, reassess, and restock tips, apply them, and perhaps you’ll see your summer sales begin to take off again.

Do you have some great advice for avoiding the summer sales slump? Leave us a comment!

The Complete eBay Marketing System will teach you the professional techniques you need to become an eBay power seller.

Two Days to Apple iPhone Launch - June 29 Liftoff

"Apple Inc.'s iPhone won't hit stores until Friday, but the heavily hyped gadget already has unleashed a cottage industry of touch-screen protectors, leather hip carriers and car adapters.

Even the most enthusiastic manufacturers said creating formfitting iPhone accessories was an enormous challenge. A notoriously tightlipped Apple kept many partners in the dark on precise specifications, and some of the company's most trusted accessory manufacturers still have not touched a genuine iPhone.

To compensate, many cribbed size and weight specifications from Apple's Web site, then created models out of wood, cardboard or plastic. They shipped models to Apple for advice on whether headset and other outlets were placed correctly. They adjusted and resent revised versions to Apple." - Source: BusinessWeek

"Motorola, the world's second-largest mobile handset maker is coming off a $118 million dollar first calendar quarter loss, notes the Financial Times, where its strategy to increase market share resulted in crisis.

Padmasree Warrior, chief technology officer for Motorola, told the financial paper that her firm is basing a comeback on a new generation of handsets, but admits that iPhone is of particular concern.
"I do worry about [the iPhone] because [Apple] is a great competitor; a very respectable, credible, tough competitor to have in the industry," she said.

At the same time, the exec believes the Apple device will appeal only to a "small part of the market" and hold its share of weaknesses. For instance, she said the phone's web browsing capability could have "severe limitations" because it will run on AT&T's slower 2.5G network, rather than the carrier's high-speed 3G network.

Motorola, which saw a resurgence after the launch of its RAZR handset in 2004, plans to unleash the second-generation of the super-slim handset sometime this summer. Like the firm's Q9 smartphone, the RAZR2 will reportedly run on the faster 3G networks." - Source: Apple Insider

"Vodafone is in talks with Apple to launch the U.S. firm's iPhone combined music player and telephone in Europe, and talks partly hinge on volume guarantees and subsidies, a Dutch magazine reported.

Apple demanded a guaranteed sales volume for the iPhone, which the British mobile operator did not want to give, Dutch magazine Bright said on its web site late on Tuesday.

The magazine said Vodafone was pushing for more scope to subsidize the phone and did not want Apple to have control of the sale price." - Source: Reuters UK

"Apple Inc.'s iPhone won a strong endorsement from a key technology reviewer on Tuesday, June 26 when the Wall Street Journal's Walter Mossberg called it a beautiful, breakthrough device.

"Our verdict is that, despite some flaws and feature omissions, the iPhone is, on balance, a beautiful and breakthrough handheld computer," Mossberg said in a review on WSJ.com.

New York Times technology writer David Pogue also weighed in with a largely positive review saying that the iPhone lived up to most of its considerable hype even if it did fall short in some areas." - Source: WSJ, New York Times

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) is one of the top 20 innovators of The Innovation Index, and is the Number One Innovator for 2007 as per the rankings of the Top 50 Innovative Companies in the world by BusinessWeek.

Bottomline:

If iPhone is a huge success, the iPhone accessories market will be another big hit. Case in point: iPod accessory market. iPhone has competitors worried, both in the U.S. and outside. In order to succeed globally though, Apple must put together a solid win-win plan to expand in Europe and Asia soon - within the next two months. Finally, reviews of iPhone are coming in, and are mostly optimistic - either the reviewers don't want to emphasize the flaws, or there are limited flaws - also, do they really want to bet against a winning horse when there is so much hype, buzz, hysteria and more surrounding the launch? The consumers will soon find out whether the iPhone is for real on June 29.

Partnering with Ingram Micro

This month, we passed the 9,000 mark for enterprise buyers of the Google Search Appliance and the Google Mini. That's a great start, but we want to reach out even farther, which is why we're embarking on a partnership with Ingram Micro. One of the largest global distributors of technology products in the world, Ingram has extensive reseller relationships in Europe, Asia and Latin America that will help us deliver the power of search behind the firewall to businesses of all sizes, more efficiently and at a larger scale than we could on our own.

In addition to having access to a rich network of more than 165,000 retailers and resellers worldwide, Ingram possesses core strengths in sales, reseller credit, marketing, technical support and logistics. And it has strong penetration into the small-to-medium business (SMB) and Government and Education (Gov/Ed) channels that complement our goal to offer great search technology to even more enterprise users, no matter their size, segment or location.

Dave Girouard, our VP and General Manager for Google Enterprise, puts it this way: “This relationship with Ingram Micro marks an important milestone in the evolution of Google’s enterprise search business, giving customers around the world better access to our products and support. With the global reach and efficient distribution of Ingram Micro, many more customers will be able to gain the benefits of Google search to their business.”

Both the Google Mini and the Google Search Appliance are available immediately to qualified Ingram Micro solution providers in the U.S.; there are plans for a phased rollout in other regions through 2007. To find out how to obtain a Google Mini or Google Search Appliance, contact us here or here.

Internet Marketing: Bruce Lee Strategies

By Luis Galarza - Internet Marketing Beginners Training Guide Blog

What Can You Learn From Bruce Lee Marketing Strategies That You Can Apply To Your Internet Home Based Business?

Don't laugh because you and me can learn a lot from Bruce Lee business and marketing strategies. I always said that to learn how to make money online or offline you need to follow those entrepreneurs that are or were marketing their business or skills on a really competitive industry just like the Adult Industry Marketing or like trying to convince Hollywood to take action movies and at some Asian fighting styles (martial arts) in this case Kung-fu and also turn a small Asian guy into white people's new action hero... When times where hard for other cultures to make a difference in a close minded old U.S.

Now times had change and many top marketers in the movie business in the U.S. and Asian countries thanks Bruce Lee for opening the doors to a better profitable future for Hollywood. So, how this small Asian guy make a successful career as a movie start, martial arts expert, and infoproducts?

First let me tell you that I'm a super fan of Bruce Lee fighting style, martial arts philosophy, and of course his movies. But, I also respect his and his wife entrepreneur expertise that make them take those Kung-fu skills and turn them into a money generating business.

How Bruce Lee when from a dishwasher on a restaurant to a top martial arts expert and movie start?

The answer to that there simple things...

- Self-promotion and Branding Marketing: When he first started teaching Kung-fu he market himself as an expert in the martial arts field by giving little demonstrations, and use viral word-of-mouth marketing to do the rest.

- Use The Right USM or Unique Selling Message: This is his business marketing message or business tag line that said "We Teach Martial Arts To Any Culture." This unique selling message (USM) was on all his fliers which deliver a strong proposition to consumers, was saying that Bruce Lee martial arts school was the only one open to teach any one even if you weren't Asian. Domino's was successful because of the tag line they used, it worked for Bruce, it also can work for you. To learn more about tag lines visit "What Is Your Unique Selling Message or Proposition -USM".

- Targeted Niche Marketing: This is simple, when he got the offer to make movies in his home land "China" was when he really hit the success booster. That was his market, his targeted niche... people that love martial arts action movies with an Asian guy as their hero.

If you want to success in business online or offline you need to find a targeted niche relevant to your offerings, promote yourself as an expert on the industry, use creative viral marketing campaigns, and tell your prospects what's better about your product or service by using a good USM or Unique Selling Message.

Three Days to Apple iPhone Launch - June 29 Liftoff

Jessica Rodriguez joins the line to purchase an iPhone in front of an Apple store on Tuesday, June 26, 2007 in New York. The much-promoted mobile phone from Apple goes on sale Friday in U.S. markets. For Jessica Rodriguez, waiting four days for an iPhone is nothing when the prize is "the next big thing."

On Tuesday, Rodriguez became the fourth person to line up outside Apple Inc.'s Fifth Avenue store in New York. The 24-year-old college student wants to get a belated birthday gift for her sister as soon as the iPhone starts selling Friday evening.

"Words can't express why I want an iPhone," Rodriguez said, sitting in a red folding chair she brought. "The main reason is (Apple CEO) Steve Jobs is a genius. He's a great innovator. It's going to be the next big thing in cell phones.".....Click here for the complete story

"I'll probably get the world's worst sunburn,'' said Eric Mueller, a graphic designer from Harlem who's fifth in line at the Fifth Avenue store, the only Apple outlet that's open 24 hours a day. "But it's exciting to be part of it.''

For others, it's about earning some extra cash. John May, a college student in Vallejo, California, has offered to stand in line for $250 for a potential iPhone buyer. He'll wait at an Apple store in Vallejo or Walnut Creek. Although no one has responded to his ad on Craigslist, May said he'll still join the line for latecomers.

"It seems like an easy way to make cash,'' said May, 18, who said his dad gave him the idea. "It's crazy.''

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) is one of the top 20 innovators of The Innovation Index, and is the Number One Innovator for 2007 as per the rankings of the Top 50 Innovative Companies in the world by BusinessWeek.

Bottomline:

Fans are beginning to clamor for the brand new Apple iPhone which is due out at 6:00 p.m. on June 29. The lines will only get bigger by June 29 morning, and expect dozens to hundreds of anxious buyers waiting outside the key Apple and AT&T stores to try and buy the iPhone. Even the $59.99 monthly plan that includes 450 minutes and unlimited data services among other features will not deter the die-hard Apple aficionados. Most analysts are predicting 100,000 to 200,000 iPhone unit sales by June 30. If you cannot wait for the iPhone, don't want to stand in line for days or hours, and are searching for an alternative, check this review of iPhone competitors by Marketwatch: Wireless device makers target iPhone crowd - LG, Nokia and target high-end users, but devices lack carrier support.

Finally Revealed: The No-Hype Insider Secrets to Network Marketing Success

As a veteran network marketer, you have lots of knowledge from the books, tapes, seminar materials, and training your company hopefully provides to its distributors. While all of this is wisdom is important, there really is only one no-hype insider secret to your success. It is so simple it might surprise you.

What is it? The real secret to network marketing success is building leaders and teaching/mentoring them to success. That’s it. You find one true leader and take it from there. It is important to do this since leaders make your life easy and financially independent.

While finding leaders is the key, in reality, this isn’t always easy. Why? Because finding true leaders are very, very rare. You see, a network marketing leader is someone who:

*will make sure their distributors order products at the end of the month.

*never complain about problems or areas of concern to their downline.

*never complains or whines to their upline sponsor or to their company

*has created his or her own goals

*willingly conducts opportunity meeting for you when you are away

*is in personal control of their attitude and does not let negative people and other outside influences control his success.

These are awesome leadership skills, and the truth is, if you have a real leader in your group, you are financially fortunate. If you have two leaders in your group, you are rich, and if you have three, four, or five leaders, you likely miscounted somewhere! That is how rare true leaders really are.

You can measure your success in network marketing by your leaders. Distributors will come and go so you can’t really build your business strictly on them. But with a leader, they will continue to recruit, build, and motivate their downlines. You will want to find a potential leader who works so diligently in your absence that you love to work with and mentor.

You are probably wondering where to find people who have the characteristics that are being discussed. The key is not to look for someone who already has these qualities, but someone who is dedicated and willing to develop the necessary skills for success while learning the business. You can tell this potential leader:

“If you are really sincere, and want to build a successful business with us, I’m going to make you successful. I’m going to work, work, and work some more with you until we get your group solid and your income to full-time potential.”

If you help this person for six months, they will think so highly of you, be so firmly grounded and committed that they wouldn’t thing of quitting and joining another company. You have therefore created security with your business. Use this approach with all of your leaders, and your network marketing business will be built on a rock solid foundation, plus continue to grow. You will develop in a network-marketing superstar!

We go round and round

As you'll recall, we recently introduced new formats for AdSense ads. This week, we've added a new dimension for publishers in customizing these ad formats. You've long been able to customize the size and colors of your ad units; now, you can also customize the shape by selecting between square, slightly rounded, or very rounded corners.

To get started with these new ad shapes, visit the 'AdSense Setup' tab in your account. As with all format options like sizes and colors, different corner styles will perform better for different publishers. We recommend that you choose the corner style that best matches the look and feel of your sites. Please keep in mind that if your page background color, ad background color, and ad border color are all the same, these new corners won't be visible.

This new option is part of our ongoing effort to improve the look and feel of our ads. We're also working to give you even more choices to customize your ad formats while maximizing revenue and user satisfaction. We hope you enjoy the new corner options, whether you choose to go edgy or bubbly.

Launches: 7 Figure Code By Mike Filsaime

By Luis Galarza - Internet Marketing Beginners Training Guide Blog

Mike Fisaime or "Mr. F" Is Launching His New Internet Marketing Product On July 7, 2007 Called "The 7 Figure Code" (code name: 7 7 7)! Mike Said Is The Best Marketing Training Guide To Hit The Internet This Summer.

Yeah, another Internet marketing product launch... So I ask Mike Filsaime (Mr. F), what's different about the 7 Figure Code training guide compare to his other report, ebooks, and software business package (Butterfly Marketing)? I what the preview video and yes has some good information for someone new in online marketing or business in general.

But, I hope the price tag doesn't kill the product.... Mr. Mike Filsaime like to ask too much money for his products, don't get me wrong the Butterfly Marketing Report ($97) and the Software Business Package ($1500) is worth the selling price and even more, way more. But, some of his other products don't teach you more than a regular $15 book from Barner's And Nobel and he charges almost 3 times that amount.

Here is my review of "The 7 Figure Code" Internet Marketing and Online Business training guide hope your find it informative.

Four Days to Apple iPhone Launch - June 29 Liftoff

The following table shows estimates for unit sales of the Apple iPhone from various analysts, including my own:

Bottomline:

The average estimate from all the analysts including the Apple Innovation Blog is over 1 million units of Apple iPhone sold by September 30, 2007, and 8.74 million units of Apple iPhone sold in the next year by September 30, 2008 for a total of 9.74 million units sold from June 29 launch through September 30, 2008. Even if Apple iPhone sells closer to 7.5 million units in the first full year of launch, this would be considered highly successful, and would easily eclipse the first full year of launch sales of the Apple iPod. However, Steve Jobs' and Apple's sights are much higher - the Motorola RAZR sold 50 million units from 2004 to 2006. Can iPhone come close to the breakout success of the RAZR?

Marketing Your eBay Store - How to Help Buyers Find Your Listings

You're a seller on eBay and you've decided to open an eBay store. That's simple enough to accomplish. Then, suddenly, you realize that your store items don't show up in eBay searches. At this point the $64,000 question seems to be, "What do I do so that people will find my eBay store items?"

The first piece of advice it seems everyone gives when that question comes up is to be sure to run eBay auctions regularly and mention in your auction listings that you have an eBay store so people will go there to see what else you have. That's good advice, but the problem is that too many times people just stop there. Next thing you know they've closed their store because so few people seem to be finding it. That's too bad because there are numerous methods they could have used to market their store more effectively. Here are a few.

1. EBay Express, assuming you and your listings qualify. EBay provides this check list to help you grow your business on eBay Express. Read it to learn about seller and listing criteria for this eBay venue. If you qualify as an eBay Express seller and want your listings to show there, make sure you follow the specific guidelines.

2. Make sure your items show on Google search and other search engines. Always enable your store listing feed (read how here) and export your store items regularly to Google base. Your items will show up when people search and look at the results on Google Products (formerly called Froogle). You don't have to understand the technical aspect of how this works, but know that it does work and it is an important marketing method that should not be overlooked. Make sure that you are optimizing your items for search engines by using excellent keywords in your store description and in your listing titles.

3. Blogs or other web posts. If you have a blog, or if you ever leave a comment on a blog or if you post on an online forum, put your store link in your signature line if that's allowed. People really do click through on those. The nice thing about having a store is that you have a specific web address, http://stores.ebay.com/yourstorename. I also recommend that you consider purchasing a domain name that you can use to forward to your store link, something easy for people to remember. In my case, my52cents.com is much easier to remember than http://stores.ebay.com/my52cents. Make yours an appropriate and memorable name. Include it with every blog comment or forum post. Post often, but don't spam post; that's just tacky.

Those are just a few examples. Marketing your eBay store is an important part of having an eBay store. You can depend on the store being found via your auctions, of course, but why not take a few minutes and notch it up a level? All of the methods I mentioned, aside from purchasing the domain name ($10 or less at godaddy.com) are free and easy to accomplish.

By the way, you can track how people find your store by looking at your traffic reports on your "manage my store" page. If you haven't looked at that, you may be very surprised to see where your store traffic is coming from.

These are just a few suggestions and you can find more on eBay, who actually wants your store to succeed, so don't overlook the eBay help section when you're seeking good eBay store marketing advice.

Showers of blessings, my alisha

The introduction of my life and family.

Alisha completed 8Th months on the 18Th of June
Shes so playful, lively and full of curiousness to know about each object or thing which she puts into her mouth and gets me all worried and worked up.

When she was born, my doll was so tiny her little toes and fingers were so cute and pink and so very delicate just like cotton when touched...

I can still remember not having my pains even on the day I was given the due date, which put me into a tension that what would happen to me. I used to have my family at every point of time beside me monitoring my health, watching for every sign of my labour so that they could get organized and rush me to the nursing home but even then everything went smoothly without any signs surfacing. I had visited the nursing home on the day before the due day but was told to come only in emergency so I returned home all convinced that everything was ok. One week passed but nothing came up so I landed back to the nursing which followed by a firing by the doctors who told me that I was at risk of having a c section which I didn’t want at any cost. Got admitted to wait for the coming excitement but tension and fear built up in me.

Three days later i was then blessed with the dream of my life, my darling and sweetheart, my baby girl...

Oh how I could have screamed my life out at the sight of her, the feeling that came within me is inexpressible really. It seemed I had been granted a boon which I had always wished for. My happiness knew no bounds and as I waited in exertion to have a better view of my girl I was made to rest for the time being. When I regained strength I found her near me. Oh I was so excited to touch her tender skin. I just couldn't stop myself from admiring her as she looked so beautiful and so fair, like the Chinese babies. Her cheeks were so pinkish red and eyes so tiny. As she moved her fingers I tried to play with them but she clenched her fist with my fingers in them and I just smiled each time with a joy within.

The first person to see my doll was her father, he did have a hard day and night awaiting the arrival and now he was so excited to see her. In his heart he knew that she was my dream and that’s what made us much more prouder and happier and longed for the four of us to be together. Of course all this while, my son of seven years was at home and he was aware a sibling was on the way for him, a sister he admired b4 she entered the world through my tummy! my other family members were also excited and I remember I had the most amount of visitors in the nursing home. Each one showered us with gifts of love and blessing and opinions of who she resembled. In my heart I knew my baby was the most beautiful thing to me and her beauty to me was undoubtedly an exception and so inexpressive.

The 5 next days in the nursing home after delivery I spent looking after her, admiring and loving her after all this was the moment that I always wished for.

After 5 days, I returned home to my daily routine life but this time it was much more busier. Days passed with her nappy changing and sleepless nights sometimes she was so troublesome, sometimes she just slept away.

Both we parents took great care to see that the jealousy between siblings weren’t the cause for any harm to the baby. But Aryan was always caring and kissing the baby almost throughout the day only when at times he got a feeling of jealousy and used to show a sad face and throw up a tantrum. I couldn't give him much time coz the baby needed my whole attention, but he was so understanding sometimes helping me in every way he could but that mischievous always there.

Time passed…………….

Everyone says my baby is beautiful."Your baby should be a model," is what i hear from the time shes born. Can this really be true, can i fulfil my dreams? time is running out and nothing been done for i think it will be a pressure on her, is this the right decision or any other suggestions?
