Happy Birthday to my beautiful 5 year old daughter Alisha... my darling angel turns 5 today, not yet i guess... she was born at 3.30 am! This is her Birth Story... she's the one who lit my life, and showed me a whole new world... wherever she goes, has heads turning to admire... shes amazing, chooses her own clothes and even knows the meaning of technique! While the world complains about mischievous kids, mine is the calmest kid i honestly have no complains about... i have people saying if child marriage was legal, would get their sons married to her!!! She can smile and win my heart even if i'm at the point of giving up... no words to express how blessed i am to be her mom... and she is no doubt, the greatest love of my life...! :-) God bless my little girl... Love you my doll... :-)
A special day, a special year
and so this brings to you...
Warm congratulations
and the best of wishes, too...
For you're a special Daughter
and no matter what the day...
You're thought about with lots more love
than any words can say.
With Love
on your
Special Day

One more week to go for Alisha's 5th Birthday!

One more week to go for Alisha's 5th Birthday! The day a Chinese angelic looking pinkish baby seemed as if dropped into my arms from the heavens above on the 18th of Oct. She bought into my life much delight and happiness and today whatever is left of my happiness is because of her. A girl had always been my dream and so was my dream fulfilled by the one above whom i know has a hand in one of my greatest dreams coming true. I never knew what was to be born a girl or boy but longed for a girl and it was strange that though i never really knew what gender was taking form in my tummy i had already kept a name ready for her. Not once did did i think a boy would be born, as i always referred to "she" and "her" while talking about the baby inside me. I already had my son and now longed for a daughter whom i could dress and she was born much to the image of what i had of her!!
I would to share my birth story, and i will, so my dear readers do tune into my blog for a mothers birth story of her Angel on the 18th of Oct! Cya all for now........ :-)

Bidding Goodbye to September- welcome October!

And so we are bidding goodbye to a month that was paved with thorns and a few roses, with a river of tears and wee bit of happiness. The month of September had seen me on an emotional roller coaster, with outbursts of harsh and cold feelings, and sometimes on the wings of a dove... but as i keep saying that its a part of life! Don't know what will October bring for me as but for sure i always get nostalgic about things gone by. But hope to see a new September when it comes around next year :-)
On the 18Th of next month my Alisha will turn 5 years, OMG! i just cant believe how the years have flown by... she was a little baby in my arms and now she is one talkative girl blossoming into the flower i want her to grow into. She can talk so much that it leaves me amazed sometimes, if i'm hearing the same pinkish little Chinese baby i bought home from the hospital :-)
Its been months i have written about her... how i wish i could sit and pen down everything i remember in these months... all the milestones... some maybe i had even missed out being so busy! Phew! But yeah come her birthday and i would be the happiest mom to see my daughter touching a new one! Her fifth birthday! Welcome everyone, to the party of the 18Th :-)

Alisha's version of the monkey and crocpdile story!

I couldn't help but get into the mood of story telling to get Alisha, my 4 year old daughter to sleep earlier than her usual time so that she awakes and readies for school without feeling sleepy. The funny and amazing thing is how she created a different ending out of mine and though i laughed at her version but believe me, i was left zapped at how kids can make up stories!!! If you already know the story about the monkey and the crocodile (mine, is a different short story ;)), jump to her version which is right below ;)
My story goes like this 'once there a monkey who wanted to cross the river to his home on a tree on an island, so he told to his friend the crocodile "will you help me across the river dear friend, croc"
The crocodile said "yes my friend, just get on my back i shall swim you across"
On the way, when they had reached the deep in the middle of the river the croc spoke, "Well, Mr Monkey, my wife is very sick and needs your heart to eat or she will die. I will only continue our journey only if you give me your heart in return"
The monkey replied after a second of thinking "well my friend, you see, i have my heart hung on the tree which i left to dry after washing. I will give it to you once i reach my tree top house" to which the crocodile agree and continued swimming.
Once they reached the island the clever monkey jumped out of the crocs back and climbed the tree as fast as he could. When he reached the top, he told the waiting croc "hahaha, im sorry but my dear friend i had to lie to save my life for if i had told you my heart was with me inside my chest, you would have killed me!" The croc realized its stupidity and left the river to a far away one never to be seen again. LOL that was my story for her...
After i was done i asked her to tell me a story but she had something else in her mind, told me 'No, when they reached the top the monkey climbed up and told the croc "hahaha, i don’t have my heart on the tree, my heart is inside me, but you would kill me if i told you the truth" '
'So the croc jumped/climbed the tree and bit and beat the monkey and took out a knife and cut out the monkeys heart and ate it up, then went to his wife and gave the heart to this wife and the wife also ate the heart and the monkey died'
But of course, in her 4 year old language and in a mixture of English/Hindi! hahaha... And i was wondering how many hearts the monkey actually had, two? Television influence it seems! Anything is possible in the mind of a kid... :)
Next what i'm going to see is read her stories online, on the internet and with pictures it's going to be fun... ;)
Note- This is not a paid post! ;)

Mom i want Doremon, take him out from the Tv!

Alisha- mamma i want Doremon i watch on TV everyday. I want a robot Doremon.
Mom (me)- darling, how will i get you Doremon? hes inside the Tv.Alisha- take something and break the Tv and take him out, i want to play with him when i awake from sleep.
Mom (me) laughs! But baby, if we break our Tv then how will you watch Doremon?
Alisha- You take out Doremon and all his friends, i will marry suniyo, and play with doremons gadgets.
I was left amused and began imagining her little 4 year old daughter Alisha marring Suniyo, the character who portrays a spoilt wealthy brat in the Doremon cartoon show (her favorite!).. hahaha.. when i asked her why she wont marry Nobita, the main character who befriends Doremon, she says, bcoz hes lazy and doesn't study and gets a beating from Zian(the bully). Kids are too smart these days!!!! :)

We celebrated Alisha's birthday on the 18th of Oct, last week and, it was a great continuation of our this years celebrations. she turned 4 years old was so excited with the tom cake and as you can see in the pics, where she already tried to dig in to it before we could light the candles! As only tom, and only tom would do for her as i said in the previous post, we had to give in to her wishes :) The best part was when the cake was cut and we were about to feed her a piece... she took the piece from her dads hand and put it into he own mouth which made us all laugh. hahaha... The little girl enjoyed her day with all her other tiny tot friends and i'm so happy for her.
Throughout the last few months i had kept noticing the sweet changes in my little lady, like how she has transformed from a baby into a little girl who knows how to convince her parents and close ones with her innocent antics.
Oh i just cant believe how unfair i was not to write about her for a over a year :( I remember how she weaned herself when i first got sick this year. She and i, we both struggled to separate or rather adjust ourselves out of the mother, baby bonding we had between us during nursing times because i needed to stop her from breastfeeding as per docs advice and because, it also over 3 years and time she stopped.
During the past one year she has been a sweetheart, lively and playful, always lighting my life in good and bad phases. She already been framing sentences very well by the ending of 2009 and now she is kind of an expert at Hindi and English at this age. I'm proud she is able to converse in both her parents languages. One day she comes and asks me, "mamma i cant find my little bottle (of water), i kept it here, you saw it?" she refers to anything she is close to or likes as 'little' because i call her 'little baby' too. She is still not going to school but she will...
Little girls at three age cant resist breaking up theirs moms make-up and that's exactly what she did to mine too when my poor lipstick popped up and toppled over as soon as Alisha spied it! I don't approve of makeup for little girls of three for their skins too delicate to fight bacteria and make-up could cause harm. As she was nearing 3 years, that time itself she started putting on my platforms(shoes) and walking around... and even started admiring herself in the mirror! this reminds of me girls just wanna have fun!! hehe..
Three year old girls also want to look their best and my baby too, sometimes loves choosing her own colors and designs for clothes, etc. She still hates spiders but not to afraid of lizards. Sleeps quite late and loves good food and snacks and is not too fussy. But particular with cleanliness and anything out of the way. Shes too clever when it comes to searching vids and images on my phone which make her elders amazed at times. Gets irritated when she cant find her free space but since we have moved to this huge house she is one gem of a doll always playful and keeps lighting our life with her smile :)

"Cockroach gone away, mama"???
Too tried today as we did house cleaning and found cockroaches in a corner we dont use! one popped up and little Alisha jumped to her feet and fled to the other room and covering herself with a sheet, she asked me "Cockroach gone away, mama?". I scared her a little more and said "no", lol.. she was almost in tears and screams so i told her the roach has gone to its mother to have its milk! haha.. she then relaxed herself and started her monkey tricks once again...
Talking about my baby after so long, i feel like writing away, but i have less time and may write again in a new post soon. Shes growing up so sweetly and is lightening up my life every second of each day especially when pneumonia is not easy to live with.
She wished me for 'mothers day', and asked for her birthday gift! can you take that? hhaha.. got to go now :)

Happy 3rd birthday to my darling baby angel, Alisha!

Whew! how time flies.. few years ago i was confined to labor and little did i know i would be blessed with my baby girl Alisha who has just turned three years old today, 18th oct! Yes, its her birthday today... but it's just 2.42am right now and i have to wake up early, earlier than usual(wink) to spend the whole day pampering her and then we'll party for her along with a continuation of Diwali celebrations(playing with the fireworks) tomorrow eve.. hehe.. She's been anxious about her cake and Diwali leftover crackers/fireworks and even asked me at midnight for it! i explained if she didn't sleep soon, the butterflies(which she very funnily doesn't like) will come and take away her cake.. hearing this she fell off to sleep in deep thought.
Update(morn)- forgot to hit publish though i thought i did!!.. anyway, i've woken up to another new day! :-)

Alishas cute joke on her mommy
Mommy pinches Alisha on her bottom slightly and says "See the butterfly has bitten you"
Alisha pinches mommy, puts her hands behind her, and says "butterfly bit you"
Mommy says "no, your hand has bitten me"
Alisha says "no, see my hand is here " showing her hands are behind!
Mommy starts laughing loudly.. hahaha..
coming up in one of the next few posts, Alisha's 34th month update :-)

Alisha is 2 years, 9 months and my fairy angel in disguise
Read the captions too!
My bundle of joy, Alisha!
My bundle of joy, Alisha!

I haven't been writing about Alisha since two months now and there are lots of changes in my little sweetheart since then and surely shes my been my fairy angel in disguise because of the happiness and joy she has given to me. A complete entertainer, a playful joker and i feel blessed like any other mom! Now that shes almost two months away from her 3rd birthday, am awaiting this day with great excitement because of the plans i have in mind. The fairy tale birthday which i couldn't accomplish last year will be carried out this year with a few close members and friends. I am thinking to buy that pretty laced pink dress that i saw at the mall, and a fairy cake too. I'll even ask everyone to wear pink as the theme... Inshallah it will work out as am thinking :-)
Alisha winking! ;)

She plays imaginary games and even blows out the candles of her imaginary birthday cake. Makes funny faces and will never smile naturally when i ask her to, while clicking out pics! Anyone would die for that natural smile of hers, believe me! and am hoping to capture it someday. Believe's that everything in the world is hers and pretends to pray namaaz with her grandma and sometimes reverts to a baby.
Shes not eating well and fussy about food because shes still nursing and its time i stop it! It makes me feel irritated yet am used to bonding more with her this way when am free and i'll definitely feel sad when she quits. But i've got to see to her health too which is not quite stable though she rarely gets sick (touch wood)..
Alisha sticking her tongue out!

Shes began to speak her native language more which is Hindi, and her English speaking has lessened since we stayed with our in laws for a month at their home. Oh yes they speak more in Hindi being Muslims and i speak only English being a Christian!! Am strict with English and so are my family, my sister, my dad and my husband, who also speaks to his angel in English. When we all met up this month as i mentioned in few posts below, she managed to converse well in English with them and they were amused all the while with her. I sometimes wondered how kids would manage with two kinds of languages being spoken at home and here is my answer that at this age, they are learning, absorbing and with the right guidance they can manage to speak as many languages as possible!
Am glad shes developing mentally, physically, emotionally and socially very well with her temper tantrums, claiming everything is hers, imaginary friends, etc etc.. like all normal 2 year old toddlers :-)
In the pics, my princess had got up from sleep, and i never even combed her hair! We had balded her during the summer months and i call her "Casper" to which she rebels back saying " no, Baby". Baby is her nickname :-)

Alishas now 2 years 7 months years old and learing to talk a lot!
Another month has passed and life is as slow as ever! i mean, sometimes i feel as if the days have passed like seconds and sometimes vice-versa!
I feel happy to mention my baby's Alisha's now 2 years,7 months years old and we are looking forward to sending her to kinder garden soon. I wont talk about that now but once its done, let you all know! She cant stay more than 2 hours without me so don't know what will happen then..
Shes learning all the new tricks possible. Lately she tried trying a piece of cloth over her eyes and when she couldn't tie it, i helped her... she wanted to play eye spy! I also see her jumping on the bed saying "am supernum" means superman! haha.. shes beginning to talk a lot more and forms 5,6 word sentences at a time..
Televisions a great influence in her life coz i see her dancing very often when am not watching her i hear an angel voice, a humming bird singing.. la, la, la.. now and then! :-)
Her intake of spicy foods are increasing, and this season, mangoes are her favorite fruit.. she loves it! but eats it with the same two finger style that she eats her bread and butter.. hahaha.. cool.. like mother, like daughter.. :-)
Shes the light of my life and god has surely been so kind to grant me this darling little angel in my life :-)

Alisha has stepped on her 30th month, big girl now!

Alisha, the baby doll has stepped on her 30th month! that was quick, just like i saw her as a new born few months ago when she wasn't able to move an inch without my help, ah.. you know what i mean.. i remember when she was new born, she looked white and her cheeks looked pinkish. She had the exact tiny eyes and face cut of that of the Chinese. I would call her my 'Chinese doll'.
Shes doing fine on her 30th month, turning out to be the little 'angelic devil' and i know you'll wonder why? Its because shes turning mischievous yet remains inncocent as ever. We've recently shaved her bald due to the heat, and its too unbearable for her esp when shes out traveling between her grand moms house, back home. Lately shes been eating all the stuff we're having for meals. Good girl she is, never whims, very gentle and delicate. Eats like a lady! only uses two fingers at this age, coz she hates getting all her fingers messy. I think shes taken that habit from me.. hehe..
Shes pretty adaptable to any where we take her these days, unlike when she was a baby. Shes getting used to facing new people coz before she was a little shy, and oh yeah, she still shies away from us when shes doing something we praise her for. haha.. when shes dancing or putting the things back in place, she blushes.. hehe.. my pretty cutie baby angel she is :-)
Anyway, they're going for a wedding party now. Going to be served their favorite biryani and other things for dinner. lovely, but i prefer being here and writing and comtemplating over things..

A fever, some hopes and prayers- and my babys fine now :-)
Day before yesterday night, i was in all tears and a bit terrified as a Alisha, my 29mnth old doll was down with high fever. My pretty usually never catches a cold or never gets a fever but i guess the fevers in the air these days, and so she couldn't escape.. The hope and prayers which kept running in my mind was that she doesn't get the convulsion(fits) that occurred to her when she was almost a year younger(Convulsions are when person's muscles contract and relax repeatedly..).
A younger Alisha :-)

I will never forget that day when the sudden vigorously shaking(jerking movements) baby almost fell of my lap and killed my heart. Yes, she was playing when it suddenly occurred without a warning. Luckily i wasn't alone those days and all the in-laws and my husband were present at home that day, because if they weren't, i'd surely get unconscious watching my baby suffer the con.. They rushed her to the emergency that night and what a frightful, disheartening night that was, only the lord could understand what went through me. I don't know why he made me see that day because never in my life again would i want to watch a baby suffering a fever convulsion.
But anyway, the doc said it was normal and that the con was triggered off by a raised temperature and we must see to it that the temp, never rises too high till she is, at least 6 years old. I know the fever mustn't rise high in any kid for that matter, but in Alisha's case we must be much more alert.
A year gone by, Alisha's always remained playful and active, and then last nights sudden fever on her.. but after doing the cold water sponges and washing her hair, the fever slowly subsided. The whole of yesterday she was fine and no signs on returning fever! Now am a happy, relieved and thankful to god, mommy again :-)
Dont do this!!
I want to advice and suggest all mothers and parents never to struggle with a kid while the con is occurring. Leave the baby alone, not unattended but don't try to press down the baby's limbs or suppress the vigorous and jerking movements. The con slowly subsides on its own and though it seems a baby is almost lifeless, not to worry moms as the baby will be normal again. The risks are high on babies that suffer these fits and that's why parents must always further educate themselves on these common baby aliments.
Note: my kid had a convulsion last year, when she was almost a year younger. Read about it HERE

Born on Oct, 2006 this little girl above is my daughter Alisha and will soon be 3 years, coming Oct! I last wrote about her when she was 26 and you can find out about her here on the Baby Alisha category. I should be writing her monthly updates ;)
Language- learnt to talk like a parrot, says "go to sleep, don't say" nodding her head left to right, when i tell her to close her eyes and sleep and she doesn't want to! ha-ha... i guess by the time she's three years old, she'll be able to frame the sentences well.
Pretend play- She does the pretend play very well and bathes me, pats on powder, make-up with a pen, clothes. And of course when am turned my back away, shes taken out my make up and dressing herself. She takes my handbag and walks to the door saying "bye, i going house"... now whose house is she in then? :-)
She cooks my face, hands and legs! he he... yeah she first watches it, then adds the masalas, burns the oil and fries me!! And then eats me too... offering me, my own self to eat!! So i call it a new dish named "Nisha Fry"... am rolling on the floor with laughter right now.. hahaha
Shes loves going for outings and strolls with her dad, and counts the cats, dogs, crows, vehicles and knows the difference between one and many. One means 1, but many means 2... her innocence is lovable and adorable just her :)
Emotions- Gets upset over things and screams over us if we talk harshly to one another, i guess she understands those quarrels and when i spank her brother, she goes to the brother and cajoles him saying "don't beat, bobby nice na?" and then says " mommy, naughty girl".. hahaha... that's because i always call her that when shes up to tantrums. Bobby is my son, Aryans, nickname :-)
Food- Her fave new items for snacks apart from food are chicken Maggi, halwa, jelebi, puris, parathas, fried potatos, peanuts, soyabean(nutrela), finger chips, pizzas and other non-veg snack items :)
Television- Her fave new cartoons apart from tom and jerry, ben ten are haugemaru, courageous-the brave dog, johny bravo, eddy, power puff girls, miffy and friends, and some more... and shes also loves balika vadhu and uttaran on colors!!
Shes a very loving, caring, careful, understanding and alert child. One who will never attempt the things i warn her for, like leaning over the balcony, touching plug holes etc... yet am more alert than her, because at this age, the mind isn't that focused and she may sometimes forget my warnings... And you can’t trust a two year old especially for how inquisitive and curious they can get :-)
Come back here to give baby (i call her Baby, it’s her nickname)... all your love and blessings and wish your kids love and blessings too :-)
Advice for moms of 2 year olds:
If your kids just learnt two word sentences, she'll gradually learn to speak three, four, five and many words added to the sentences by the time shes 3.

26 month of Alisha, growing up so sweetly and innocently.

Well its Alisha's monthly update and guess what? she 26 months now! very naughty and innocently cunning ;).. this month she had begun telling me the boo boo(the ghost) has taken away the remote, haha, when i want to watch my favourite channel on television!
Its getting chili here in Calcutta and shes not willing to wear her woollens, and hides it beside the bed.. now that makes me real mad.. coz if she catches a cold, it'll be quite uneasy for her. Chances of a fever! Oh no, i cant even think about it.. ill convince her and will put up with the tantrums and screaming :)
She is an animal lover, just like her aunt and whenever the cat which strays into our home in search of milk or food, shes like singing and dancing with her hands up in the air and says "kitty aya(came), kitty aya"! yeah in a cocktail of Hindi/English ;) and she lets the cat purr on her, plays with it, loves it! i wish i had a pet one for her, for the cat doesn't seem to come anymore :(..
Still oves her tea, her bread, butter and tea.. and is not fussy anymore and shes enjoying whatever is given to her to eat. Even liked her veggies, meat, fish, prawns and eggs unlike her elder brother, Aryan, and am happy for that. Can someone tell me why shes liking to eat raw potatoes? i think i know why but would like to check it out with moms :)

Milestones and updates of a two year old, alisha.
This is a very important update about my daughter Alisha after a month since she turned two years on the 18Th of October. Theda of the birthday went very well with our trip around town! I wrote about it on my ealrlier posts.
Since last month, shes shown a vast improvement in her growth, speech and motor skills.
As usual, she still says the "post" and "TV" or "cook" pointing to the computer, television and kitchen, when shes up to her tricks! (shes tells me that when i catch her doing something wrong).. she means to say 'you mind your own business mom'.. haha
Shes scares us with devils and lions, and then scares herself too.. looks into the dark and hides behind me.
She eats her bread by the tip of the slice, in case the butter messes her fingers!! Such a lady, and look at her age?? actually she does copy her mom too much.. hahaha.. and also repeats my words and actions as if to tease me, her mom!!
She wont dare repeat/step on/touch a harmful stunt/object/thing etc, if she remembers me telling her not do it when i say "no baby, don't do it, dirty no?" for eg; the wall- i hate insects and lizards crawling and so does she! and for some reason i feel she understands much more than her age.
Her speech: began to use two/three word phrases like "give baby banana", "go cook", "put TV bheem/pot to-(harry potter)", "come/go ta ta" etc- however, not Consequently but with a pause between her words as most two year old do and am proud my baby speaks english:)
Finger and hand skills: can use her little fingers to do almost everything i cant imagine, like even changing settings of the mobile, and calling up people! but jokes apart she can even type on the keyboard, color with crayons, scribbles 'well' with a pencil, picks each grain of rice lying about, switches of my pc or the TV(grrr), lady-like bread eater..
Other developments: runs, jumps, hops, dances, summer salts, .. thank god i don't have steps at home as i live on the ground floor:).. Shes turning quite spiteful and raises hands when shes scolded!
Games: She has the ability to change any emotion or thing into playtime; one moment she is crying, the next she is grinning with a typical naughty side face! very lively and alert little girl:)
Food habits: Very picky eater, though she eats all normal meals like rice, dal, veggies, meat etc but she loves eggs, pepsi, cake, milk, banana, tea, chips, hajmola, fried potatoes the most of all.
The update is from 18Th of Sept till today 16Th Nov.. hope to update with some more about Alisha's funny sense of humor, this coming 18Th of Nov.

Watching harry potter with my kids, gave me immense happiness this month
I enjoyed watching harry potter with my kids the whole of this month,.. i mean every Sunday a part of harry potter is featured on TV and since i had only watched the first part many years ago, now being able to watch with the kids was really an experience so close to my heart. I noticed the parts got more scarier, and to watch in the dark was truly pretty thrilling!! guess what, i put off the lights and made ourselves comfortable, all cuddled up together and no doubt, the winters played a wonderful role in our enjoyment..
There is no need to go to a cinema hall just to watch a harry potter, and probably its not showing at any hall this time or month, but watching it at home on TV itself is fine especially when you have a two year old.. who screams potta potta all the time!! hahahahaha...
Yes that true, Alisha was also excited, screaming potta potta each time harry appeared on screen:).. The whole idea of watching a children's movie with your kids, taking out time from a pretty busy routine brings tears to my heart because these moments will never come again, or never be repeated as kids grow up every day and along with their growth, they also seem to change.. What i mean, only a mother can understand what is sharing tiny pieces of joys with our kids from a young age so that we will never get a chance to regret it later:)
Barely one part finishes, we're excited and looking forward to the other parts, next two are harry potter and the goblet of fire and harry potter and the order of the phoenix... please watch it with your kids if you get the chance too! and scream and laugh with along with them.. but don't scare them like i do;)(wink, wink)

Its baby Alishas birthday, today- change of plans for the party:)
Finally the wait is over!! and my baby Alisha has entered into her 3RD year, and is celebrating her 2ND birthday today!! but yes, you also read it right that i wont be celebrating her birthday at home today.. we have changed plans and decided to postpone the party until a few days but will still be celebrating with our whole family, out of home. We(my family) thought, why not give the two year old baby "a baby's day out", an entertainment day only focusing on her and Aryans wishes, instead of inviting guests over today and having a feasting for ourselves;).. We will be taking the kids out, keeping in mind that the children must enjoy the most, as its baby Alishas special day and we also get an excuse to enjoy:)
We have bought her a few sets of clothes and shoes and she will be wearing a golden lacy dress today.. we will be out to enjoy at most of the entertainment parks and children's corners and am sure the kids will enjoy themselves thoroughly:). She will be also allowed to eat all her favourite food but only for the day, or else, it could cause her little tummy some runny problems:)
We will still be celebrating the party after a few days, and a huge one, as i already mentioned:) She will be wearing a fairy/princess drees with a tiara on her head and will look so pretty am sure:).. Will update about the day out, once we are back home, so bye for now.. am off to get ready and go out:)

Play doh is a wonderful tool to enhance the kids creativity

Few months back when my hubby went to madras, he bought back gifts for Aryan and Alisha as i mentioned in my earlier posts. A barbie for Alisha and Play-doh for Aryan, who loved playing with play-doh all the time. I remember he was overjoyed with his new gift and Alisha too. It was her first time, she saw she could mould the doh into any shape and started baking roti on her little rolling board and pin! haha.. she made colorful parathas for us that day:).. Aryan got busy creating ears, hair, teeth, eyebrows, eyes etc with the tools he got in the set and created a very funny clown, and a man with the longest moustache, which he took all over to show off his skills:)
The doh is a very creative tool for kids, to boost their creativity, but its warned that kids dont put the doh into their mouth and parents have to monitor that while the kids play. Its not recommended for kids below 3, but i didn't mind Alisha playing with it as i guided her and never left her alone. They created houses, animals, flowers, and lots more and i was a happy mom, they got something to keep them busy for hours! or else they made too much noise:)
Its a a non-toxic colorful(different colors) modeling clay compound similar in texture to bread dough, and has a sweet fragrance smell(these days) which usually children could mistake for sweets/food. Can be found in different packs, with diffrent creations and colors. Be careful while your kids play, for it can cause choking hazzards, and this is a strict warning to parents.

Another tiresome day! with the animals in Alishas life
I took my kids to the mall close by to my home and bought them few more things, very last minute shopping:) As i said i hate to be incomplete.. hehe..
Know what? the roads were too slushy with the rains but i had to walk a while with the kids when am alone(hubby at work). I Love showing Alisha all the street animals and she loves each one of them to the core for while being carried, she tries to run out of my hands and pet them, but i don't allow her due to hygiene reasons. She calls the dogs "bow, bow", cats "Cath", birds are crows, even the parrot is a crow!.. hahaha
While on the way home, dropped into my sisters place as she lives close by and Alisha was mesmerised by the parrot she has as a pet. She spoke to the parrot in a language even i couldn't understand but the parrot did.. for sure.. as it was nodding its head at every word she said and mind you, the parrot is a tame one that talks too. Alisha told the parrot water, food, sleep, come, home, don't do.. All understood by the parrot:)
I was dead tired after the long stroll with the two naughty devils and both never missed out the chance to harass me, as usual;) Got back home and sat to blogging, saw that many opps had past away from my hands while i was gone.. all turned grey. So another tiresome day ended and a dead tired me, is off to sleep now!
