NetworkedBlogs auto syndicate errors, Bloglovin preferred

I hate Networked Blogs! phew! they don't seem to auto syndicate the feed on time and if they do, hours later, or else some errors prevent the darn feeds from being pulled in at all, and i hate doing it manually! Think i got to move away to a new found island... Blovin is great! Cant rely on NB, tried but in vain... :-(

Every time i try to auto syndicate my feeds on to my Facebook and twitter but nothing doing, i still get the error email which frustrates me a lot because then i have to look it up and do a little of this and that, which i hate doing. I thought it was so easier... But Bloglovin is a community which not only notifies you of your favorite blogs being updated, can also use it to syndicate the feeds. So its a great new found community for me and you can try it too :-)

Blogging- past and present

The present-
Today, we get to see a vast number of bloggers blogging their way into the world of popularity and fame. Once a blogger has carved a name for themselves in the blogosphere there is no turning back! I'm not talking about big and famous blogs like problogger, techcrunch, etc.. You could be the author of a parenting blog, a technology blog, a celebrity blog, or a blog on no matter what subject, but once your blogs gain fame and popularity within your circle, you are all set into a professional popularization. The more unique and useful the content, the more popularity you gain. That's what I've noticed... So if you want to know how, read this post i had written earlier about How to start blogging... all the tips, etc...

These days its more for earning online than anything else. Because paid reviews and selling link space seems to be one of the best methods for making money online i find people swarming into the blog world just to earn some extra moolah(money). Though the internet had opened umpteen doors to earn online, blogging remains the most easier, and way too addictive. Unlike before when blogging was only meant to help connect with oneself or the world through blogging or simply a pass-time, these days its entirely a money making focus by newbie bloggers! You wont find that purity, that zest for genuine blogging anymore unless its an experienced blogger who knows the do's and dont's of blogging. I would like to advice newbies that paid reviews should be done in a way that search engine rankings shouldn't be effected. Its very imp to focus on unique content rather than just keep posting reviews. They say, two/three personal posts in between a paid post. Personal content should 70% more than paid content. The the Google Pr is also important, so you don't want to lose it by allowing Google to penalize you for only paid content on your blog. Paid content doesn't bode well with Google! Though a lot of bloggers may claim it makes no difference but i beg to differ ;) A post i wrote earlier in the week about the recent Google page rank update.

It was those days i can never forget when blogging used to be about ones thoughts, experiences and personal life, even for me. Nowadays, its different for everyone including me! The intention remains to keep blogging for both, my personal self and to make use of golden opportunities. But why not, because who wouldn't love to be paid for the things their write... ?

The past- how it began
When i had began blogging, i didn't have the least bit of idea how people were earning through their blogs because back then, i don't think people took earning online a serious game, like me, even i didn't! I didn't get into blogging just to make money. It was more for myself and writing about my 'new born' daughter and my self-interests. It was a matter of 'genuine or fake'! Who would believe that one could actually be paid $$$$ for blogging/writing. Then came a time when i used to be an active chatter in the orkut forums, i came across these people talk about doing paid reviews, or get paid to post/write/blog, etc. I wondered why would anyone pay us to write about the things 'we' love, or even to write about their interests? I guess its all clear that advertisers pay us to review their products, company's and websites online. Nothing could convince me that i would be actually paid even after i posted my first review. I remember the first time i ever signed up to a website to do paid reviews i was nervous even while typing in my details, and remained nervous throughout until i received my first payment. I used to be worried to the extent with fingers crossed!!!! haha. The feel good reason helped me through it and i guess, there was no turning back since then :)

Finally able to view blogspot blogs

Thank god i am now able to view blogspot blogs on all my browsers because earlier i wasn't able to. Though having access to my dashboard and creating/editing posts weren't a problem but then i couldn't view the resulting blog. I couldn't even view my fellow bloggers blogspot blogs and i guess they're upset with me now ;)

I tried everything like deleting my browsers cache/cookies and even scanning for any virus i thought had been the culprit but all in vain. luckily a Google forum discussing the same issue came to my aid and i guess thats why they say 'Google for solutions' and you will surely find one! ;) Anyway, i just changed my DNS address to what was suggested by someone on the Google forums and viola! The sites which peeved me to hell since three days finally did open! I always feel like a genius when i solve issues on the internet... )

I guess maybe the whole or some parts of India only faced these problems and esp the irritated Reliance customers. If you landed here searching for the same i hope Google can help you too :)

Flash clocks and calender with beautiful animation

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Maani. All opinions are 100% mine.

I am so much in love with widgets which are so useful for web pages. Do you know what is a widget? am sure most of you who own websites and blogs already know what it is but if you are a newbie and you are just staring out on a web page you must know that widgets are used to display clocks, count downs, polls, calenders and the advanced ones display your sites recent readers, your sites fans, your sites subscribers, and so much more. Some times you can even customize the widgets according to your choice of colors, width and height etc.. so its really fun to play around with. But if you already own and use one for your site/web page and looking out for more attractive widgets then you must view these Flash clocks/calender widgets in thousands meant for different moods and occasions. I bet you are not going to use those ordinary widgets anymore!

If you are a newbie or not, all you need for these widgets to work is an html code to be embedded into your sites editing page and you will get that on the site below the widgets. No hassles to do it yourself, just copy and paste these beautiful animated widgets on your site and you'll attract more readers for sure. Our readers love visiting colorful, beautiful designed web pages. In that case don't we all love it?

Google has introduced label clouds for blogger- your reaction?

Google has surely made me happy by introducing label clouds for blogger because i've always wanted to have the label cloud instead of a label list but wouldn't risk attempting the second time to tweak my HTML code for it, after the first attempt almost ruined my other important codes. Like i knew there were word press plugins for label clouds that had been converted to blogger successfully by other bloggers but i dint want to mess up again if i tried to setup the code myself. I also knew of the flash widget which dint suit my blogs layout so i opted to patiently remain waiting with my label list till a better and easier solution came up, and blogger has finally come to my rescue! thanks blogger... :-)

It feels so much lighter on the blog now because i've got a huge list of labels and i don't think it appealed to my readers before when they had to scroll right down to find what they searched for. The long label list also took up much of the space sitting on one side of my side column bar and often irritated me. But now.. who is a more satisfied person than me? hehe.. i guess many others will be glad too once they are aware of this and not only did they introduce the label cloud but selected labels too! now you can choose which label to show and hide by going to the selected label feature and checking or un-checking each one individually!! The best thing for me to do now is sort out my labels and then am all done.. what is your reaction to the newly intro label cloud? let me know quickly...

My blogs makeover, not the final one but i hope to keep improving

I've completed my blogs makeover and hope its looking great! This is just one of those attempts to create different themes for myself to exhibit my emotions and moods according to the weeks and months that pass.. I hope i've done something nice for myself by adding this navigation bar below the header which wasn't part of the temp at first! Its quite an easy task to do but with the help of some basic HTML.

I did design or create, and modify a few more temps and one of then i've already put out for downloading. You can view the demo on the love blog on the nav bar and download the temp when you contact me through email, for the link.

Because i've got a mixed topic blog where one would find all sorts of gossip and information, plus some of my personal life and my baby angel daughter Alisha, the header is meant to express and relates to the contents of my blog.

Your kind comments are welcome :-)

How to start blogging, is one of the highest searches these days

The searches on the web are open to everyone, and we all know that How to start blogging is one of the highest searches, and for many reasons, either to make money online or people are interested in knowing whats a blog and ways to get started.

Search for blogs on Google's search engine which returns the best of the blogs as results. Now look out for blogs which match your interest of whether for business purposes or personal use. Doesn't have to necessarily be the best of blogs that catch the eye, but also blogs that have high content value could come in good use for you but they may not always show up on the main page of Google's index. You will find this out the sooner you read and link to blogs that match the same category of your blog.

Read some of the content on the blogs to know whats being talked about most, the bloggers always love focusing on the current events, topics etc.. these come in handy a lot for their sites to be indexed in a good position on the search engines. Remember that the title and main keywords you choose related to your blog are important and should be used as the blogs main focus.

Once you've also set up your own blog, you can connect to plenty of other blogs through a few blogs, that's because almost every blog is linked to other blogs related to their content. For example; a pregnancy blog would have plenty of other pregnancy sites linked to their site through a blog roll. You can also get yours linked by being a daily reader to blogs.

Leave comments or rather honest opinions on the posts that seem interesting to you, soon you will find comments on your blog too.

Use a feed to subscribe to information that will be sent to your mail without you having to search for it. Let readers subscribe to your blog too, so that they receive your updates easily.

Before you begin blogging you need to chose a platform and here you will find some use information regarding 'CHOOSING THE IDEAL BLOG PLATFORM by Paul Chaney, blog consultant (www.radiantmarketing group.com)'. A few weeks and you will be much into blogging :-)

The html code for 'buy me a hot cup of steaming coffee'

So i finally got the whole "buy nisha a cup of coffee" code rightly pasted into my templates html. Not that i've never got it right before but when i had changed templates few months ago, i deleted it and never had it up on my blog again.

Well my main intention is to help those who don't know how to get the code up on their blogs, and i guess many bloggers would love to have this below their posts and be love and appreciated for the hard work they put into their blogs. Its very simple to do it, and with just a tiny knowledge of html you can do it on your own.

But just to make it more simple for you, here's the code below!

When you login to edit your html on the template page, check the box near the term 'Expand Widget Templates' and search for this line below-

Just after this line paste this code-

Then change the TEXT in CAPITAL LETTERS in accordance to your pay pal email, name, change beer to your likes, and hit save template!

If you face some problem, don't hesitate to call on me :-)

Doesn't the steaming cup of hot coffee make you wanna share some with me.. hehe.. i guess you might just want to buy me a coffee too.. while am spreading love around the world :-)

3 ways to make money online with blog advertising

Gone are the days when blogging was used as a platform for leisure. Since the fall of jobs around the world, i have noticed the large number of Internet users turning to blogging as one of the multiple streams of online income. This is a pretty profitable business once you know the tricks of the trade and carve a niche for yourself in the blogosphere. Though the possibilities to make money online are endless, blogging has been one of the top most and easiest ways to earn without having to stress yourself about time and money. Its free to make money blogging because you don't need to spend a penny on investments.

Three ways to help bloggers make money online by writing reviews for advertiser’s products.

1.First step- Sign up on any free blogging resource and write about what you feel- you personal life, your perceptions, your opinions and utilize it to convey your heart to the world. With some hard work and determination on your blog, soon you can conveniently start to make money online within the warmth of your own home.

-Marketing your blog through various methods is very important in order to drive lots of traffic to your blog because unless your blog is visible/indexed on search engines like google, no body will know your blog exists and no one will turn up to read it. You ought to be yourself, stick by your own opinions and don't copy content. Chances are there that your blog will be approved by most paid to review sites.

2.Sign up at PayingPost.com where opportunities are available in numbers for you and write your honest feedback about the products you like.

-For bloggers- advertisers love bloggers to write about their products because they write positive yet honest opinions, which matter a lot to the advertisers and the bloggers can be making $$$$ within the reach of your mouse. Just as the folks at payingpost.com say, the skies the limit.. Isn’t this what makes your imaginations soar?

-For advertisers- here is where you will soon find the best of the lot, those that are already well established in the blogger world, and am sure here is where your expectations will definitely be met. Sign up to create your advertisements soon!

3.Bloggers can also sign up as an affiliate on payingpost.com, where, when your friend or anyone signs up under your reference you will be paid an amount on the basis of commissions. So, all the best to those starting out..

How to follow a site anonymously and publicly with your Google friend connect widget

Today, i finally got time to change the 'anonymously' being shown, to 'publicly' being shown settings of my friend connect so that i'll be able to be viewed as ‘Nisha’, and not like an invading alien.. hehe, so if you noticed friends, am there now as nisha, and my display picture is of a baby in green which is actually my little Baby of two years, Alisha. Ahh!.. You all know her :).. The thing is that google has solved an issue i was confused about and it hepled save so much time. When i logged into my dashboard to change the settings i was excited to spy upon a link which i read as something like ‘do you want be a follower on your friend connect widgets publicly? and I was like... oh, thank god! I clicked on that and got what you are viewing in the image below! Hehe... luckly i didn’t have to go about them one by one as i've written about how Following a blog with google connect allows more exposure to your sites..

The beneficial fact about this widget is that your friends now can now have access to all the social networking sites your a member of, including orkut!! and you get to choose which of them can.. change then all in one go, if you haven't yet!

Following a blog with google connect allows more exposure to your sites

Google friend connect widget
Am back online and trying to figure out the newest on the web.. and blogging and blog hopping have taken over my mind yet again. I had noticed i wasn't been showing as a follower on the blogs i was already following and it confused me for sure, but it didn't strike a bit that it was part of the newest updates by Google, introduced as Google friend connect. Its just that the previous follow blog widget has been replaced by the new friend connect widget with lots of new and improved features. I still wouldn't have known am actually following blogs anonymously and not publicly, if it hadn't been for raj who'd alerted me on that! Of course it bothered him just as it would, to me :).. Thanks raj, your a sweet buddy :)

Follow blog widget
Bloggers, its important to know if you're following a blog publicly, it means your image and profile link will appear on the friend connect widget and are being exposed to everyone visiting the specific site.. and its not the same if you follow blogs anonymously. You will still be subscribed to updates for the blog and can view them on your dashboard. The problem here is since the replacement, one 'must' change the anonymous option to the follow publicly option you will find on your dashboard, right below the list of blogs you follow. I don't know if there's a way to do it all at once!! for now i've got to do it one by one. If someone does know, leave a comment please. BTW, its a great way to connect with others and gain more exposure to your blogs. So don't forget to follow my blog too.. and come back for lots more :)

22 SEO Tips: Blogspot Blogs Basics

By Luis Galarza - Internet Marketing Tips.

Increasing Blog Traffic To Blogger or Blogspot Blogs Using SEO Strategies Takes A Different Approach Than Regular Static Websites... Here Are Some Tips To Help You Maximize Your Search Engine Ranking!

First any your cup and forget everything you know about SEO or everything you have read, specially if your organic search ranking haven't change meaning two things, you are confused and don't know exactly what to do and where to start, or you been getting miss leading information that got you nowhere. Today I going to give you some search engine optimization tips that work very good for many of my clients and friends who are blogspot bloggers like you and me. But, search marketing have to be part of your Internet marketing plan want it or not.

The Truth!

SEO for static websites needs more hard work and even some investment to make it search engine friendly and send it to the top of organic results on Google or any of the top website finding tools. But, it's not complicated!

Now when we talk about blogs specially blogspot blogs the job becomes a little bit easier for many reasons, like: Blogs can be easy turn into content rich sites, Google love up to date blogs (remember, Up To Date), blogspot coding is already search engine friendly, plus it's easier to syndicate your content for instant back links and traffic.

A good search engine marketing plan need to have the complete SEO success factors, but there three golden rules that you need to follow to make sure the tips below work effectively for you. These golden rules are:
1.- Provide quality content using your targeting keywords without over using them. Write for real people and provide the search engines the keywords they want on the top in the middle and at the end of your posts.

2.- Make sure every aspect of your on site and off site SEO efforts are relevant to your target market. This mean that your need to have your keywords on your blog headline, post titles, labels, links, etc... The more relevant your site is with your niche the better ranking you will get.

3.- Provide content that is unique and spreadable, that's what search engines and your visitors want, so just give to them and they both will increase your blog traffic. Search engines will give you better ranking and your readers will share you content with others (social bookmarking and link baiting), plus they will combat for more.

Here is the secret code to create viral content:
  • Be original.
  • Be informative.
  • Be remarkable.

OK, I know that most beginners don't have their own search marketing lab, here are the tips to improve your search engine ranking and your traffic faster using proven to work techniques. But, before I continue with the tips you need to know that getting high ranking for good keywords takes time, and you need to be patient. Second, you need to put your time on this and set a plan that can be change if the algorithms change, which always does... which make some strategies from last year completely obsolete...

For example, your need to forget about using:
  • Reciprocal linking partnerships.
  • Meta Tags are good for some, but not for Google.
  • Duplicated content, so don't copy.
  • Paid text links from top sites (below I show you which one works).

1.- First you need to be ready to learn and keep up date with the search market changes and new strategies. A good way to do this is by putting yourself in a learning environment using trusted and reliable sources. Some good places are: SEO Book, Search Marketing Lab, and IEC association for online small business.

2.- If you just starting out with Blogger, make sure that your URL includes your main keywords in it, forget about adding small words that have no value for search engines like: A, for, and, etc... Just use them when your main keywords are already taken.

3.- To make it easy for you to find a good domain name that has your keywords in it try the keyword without spaces and with spaces if the other one is already taken, for example: "yourmainkeywords.blogspot.com" or "your-main-keywords.blogspot.com".

4.- After setting up your blog you need to put an analytic system in place so you can get web traffic data that you can use to improve your site and to know where your visitors are coming from and what pages are they going to. Some good free stat services are: Shinystat, Google analytics, and Statcounter.

5.- Make sure your blog is design to meet your audience needs, make sure it looks professional and clean. Remember that first impression is a big deal on the web, that's why you only have 3 to 7 seconds to engage your visitors and turn them in to readers, if you don't they yes click away faster than a hungry fly.

6.- When writing post make sure you add your keywords at the beginning of the title this will create SEO friendly URL's. For example: (http://yourmainkeywords.blogspot.com/yourkeyword_title) this will help search engine know what your content will be about. Plus, if you are using Adsense to monetize your site, this tactic will make sure you the code shows relevant ads on your site.

7.- Put your targeted key phrases at the beginning of all your main posts, you know, the ones that you are really spending your time on because you want to provide detail information about your niche that people will maybe link back to, share with others, use social bookmarking sites, etc... This help increase your page-rank for that post.

8.- Make sure you do a keyword research before using them in your blog page and posts, so you know what words have a good amount of search traffic that can be monetize. Some free tools you can use are: Wordtracker, SubmitExpress, and for long tails check Google Adwords Tool. To really find long tail key phrases in your niche you can invest in Keyword Elite and Affiliate Elite, both worth having.

9.- Write a few landing pages type of post with detail information, what I mean with this is that each post needs to have at least 1000 words, the more the better. Then put a link to this pages on the home page of your blog without the "nofollow" html tag, because you want to give some ranking votes to these pages. Target each of your main keywords with this post, add the phrases naturally on the title without any other words.

10.- Make your content people friendly by making it easy to read and follow, don't over stack code words all over it, this will scare away your potential readers and may also have you site penalize by Google. So, provide articles that people will really love to read with a little sprinkle of key phrases.

11.- Don't copy or duplicate other people's content, write your own quality original articles that provide useful tips and facts that will help you build a readership and give you an edge on your competition on natural search results.

12.- Develop a strategic on site linking structure by using your keywords when linking to internal pages or blog posts. Why? Because the anchor text give the search spiders a brief description of what your posts are about. Forget things like "click here", "full story", "download now", etc., this type of anchors or link descriptions don't help your SEO efforts.

13.- Avoid leaking ranking by using the "nofollow" tag on all your outgoing links, and in some of the internal links to pages like the "about us" page, "TOS" page, "privacy terms" page, etc.. To add this html tag to your outgoing link is easy, here is an example (Link).

14.- Add social bookmarking buttons to let your readers share your content by bookmarking your post on top sites like Digg, StumbleUpon, etc.. Also, make sure to bookmark your best work too. Best way to get one way back links.

Off Site Optimization Tips.

15.- Syndicate your content with ping systems, this content syndication programs will distribute your information to a gallery of RSS directories. So, ping your blog every time you post a new article and every time you update a current published post. Some good pinger are: Pingoat, Pingomatic, PingMyBlog, and the best of all Autopinger. Want more here is a complete list of pingers.

16.- Syndicate your information by manually submitting your site to RSS and blog directories, this can help you in your link building and gain search visitors from top ranking RSS articles. This process can take a lot of time, but is worth it.

17.- Create a few web profiles with some of the top social network like Facebook, Myspace, Bebo, Hi5, Linkedln, etc., then link to your blog from each profile, also every time you post an article there link to your blog from the post.

18.- Self syndication is also good... Just add your RSS or Atoms feeds to any other blogpost site you have and to all the profiles that offer this feature. This will boost your feed popular rate and provide instant traffic from all those sites.

19.- Submit your site to top web directories that get a lot of traffic and will give you some ranking vote, some of best ones are: Yahoo, Business.com, Best Of The Web, and DMOZ.

20.- Another excellent way to get good links is by partnering with other top blogs in your industry and become a guess blogger, only if you can link back to your site from the post. Even so, this is a good way to reach out a for readers that you may never were able to get without the help of that guess post.

21.- Local Internet marketing is huge right now and you can also get some extra web traffic by submitting your site to local website directories, some of the top are: Local.com, Kudzu, Google Local, Super Pages, and Yellow Pages.

22.- Create anther blog using a different service and post news and insights about your niche and link back to your main blog from each post.

Keep checking for updates....

To learn how you can be part of an online association full with search engine optimization experts and web marketing advisers by visiting the IEC.

In Conclusion: It doesn't matter how well you rank on any of the top search engines, don't let SEO be the only Internet marketing strategy you use to obtain targeted traffic to your blog, is good to learn and apply other techniques as well. And don't believe that blogspot blogs can't be rank high for top level keywords, and they are impossible to monetize... Here is the proof, go to Google and type "Make Money Online" and then press search and you will notice that two of the sites on the top natural results are Blogger sites. Don't get me talking about Google Knol.

To your success,
