Did you know that more than 50% of your website visitors simply go away (bounce) without doing anything? Of the other 50% that do stay on your website, 45% don't buy or download. This means, more than 95% of your website visitors do not convert to customers. Learn More...

Further, Do you know how your customers find your website? Do you know all the possible ways your customers enter and exit your website (and it may not be from the home page)? You may be surprised when you find out how long your customers are staying at your website (or NOT). But the big questions you may have in current economy are:

1. Are my customers buying at my website? And how many are not buying?
2. Are my customers downloading something like a white paper, article or press release at my website?
3. Are my customers signing up to become a member, attend an event or talk to sales at my website?
4. Are my customers reading what I am posting at my website?
5. Are my customers "bouncing" right back to where they came from and I did not even know that?

Here are my questions for you:
1. What are you doing to hold your customer's attention at your website? (Is your website engaging?)
2. What are you doing to convert website visitors to customers?
3. Are you aware of all the places your customers go (on your website, and outside your website)?
4. What is your social networking media marketing strategy? Are you on Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, Linkedin, Plaxo, Blogger, YouTube, and more?
5. And finally, what do you do to make sure your customers find you first, before they find your competition? (Are you on first page of Search engine results?)

If you are not seeing REAL results from your online advertisements or marketing campaigns, it may have a lot to do with what happens to your customers after they click on that online ad and go to your website.

Improve Organic Search Results and Reduce Adwords Expenses

By Luis Galarza - Internet Marketing Tips.

Question: If My Site Is Already Ranking Well For Many Targeted Keywords, Is A Good Strategy To Keep Using Adwords For Those Keywords? I Should Called This Post Organic Search Results vs. PPC.

The answer is in your metrics or analytics data, I know this wasn't the answer you were expecting to get from me but I ensure you that it's the right answer, is no way you can make a move of dropping or shutting down your Adwords ads any of your keywords just because you are already getting high ranking on. You need to check your Internet marketing analytic data which you should have after applying strategic testing and tracking on each campaign and keyword, in Adwords or PPC and in your organic search results as well. Then, and only then you can make a decision.

I know this can be a little bit confusing for you, specially if you are an Internet marketing newbie. This is what you need to know...

1.- SEO or search engine optimization is the Internet marketing strategies focus to help your website or blog rank high on top search engine like Google, Yahoo, MSN, Ask, and AOL. With this method you will be seeking to place your site on the top 5 or 10 of organic search result for your main keywords. This section gets the most traffic.

2.- PPC or pay-per-click is the online advertising channel that can help you put your site on the front page of organic results of targeted web users. This method needs some investment and cost you a lot of money if you don't know to use this powerful channel. These are the ads that you see on the right next to your search results. This is known to have better web conversions and ROI (return on investment), off course if you know how is done right.

3.- Search Marketing or SEM for short is a mixture of both online marketing methods, actually I should say that successful SEM campaign is a strategic mixture of SEO and PPC.

Decisions, decisions, decision... You need to know that the best way to know when an investment is bad or good is with the right data, if you know your metrics you can tun your marketing methods and make the path to the right direction. Little by little you will get better at risk management. Here are a few tip you can use today:

Search Marketing Tip #1: Today I'm not going to talk about which method will win in a fight of SEO vs. PPC, but I want to help you make the right decision when it comes to drop your Adwords ads on keywords you already have high natural search ranking. Want thing you should check to help decide is your sales data, because if you know which source or method is bringing the most responses or sales conversions you will indeed know where to focus your budget on.

Search Marketing Tip #2: You can always tun and optimize a few landing pages for your organic traffic and improve your ads and pages until you find a winner. A winner will be that can get better responses than your Adwords campaign. That way if you are running your Internet business in a low budget you can drop your PPC ads and reduce your Adwords expenses.

Search Marketing Tip #3: Now, if you have a bigger marketing budget, and both methods are producing sales, you can increase your revenue by keeping both advertising campaigns running for as long as they produce a good conversion rate.

SEO Success Factors

By Luis Galarza - Internet Marketing And Make Money Online Tips.

SEO Is An Internet Marketing Process And It Success Depends On A List Of Important Factors... Here Is The List To Bring Success To Your SEO Efforts!

SEO or search engine optimization (for long), is simply the Internet marketing strategies or techniques not only to get your website or blog listed in the search engines, but to secure a top position for a search term or keyword phrase that is closely related to your web content or niche. I know, many of you already know this, but I have to explain it again because most of my visitors are beginners in the subject of online marketing and search marketing for that matter.

To have every single search engine optimization effort really paid off, your search marketing plan needs to have a good foundation that includes a list of factors that will increase the chances of your success. Remember that SEO it's not just about getting high search engine ranking for any keywords, SEO is about gaining top search engine positions on keywords use by your target audience, that's why keywords research is one of the main key elements for a successful search engine optimization campaign.

Another thing you should know is that a achieving high ranking on top search engines like Google, Yahoo, MSN, Ask, and AOL, can take a long time and a lot of work depending on the keyword you are targeting.

Let's take a look a the list of SEO success factors or elements that your white hat search marketing depends on:

Commitment.
You need to be completely engaged and devoted to all your SEO efforts. Without commitment you will not take action or the appropriate action to make search engines work for you. Remember is a long everlasting ride, but can be as exited if you really want to do it.

Planning.
This is where many Internet marketing beginners and experience marketers set their road for failure... Remember that old saying "Those who don't plan, are planning to fail!" This is true, every advertising campaign needs to have a marketing plan behind it, that will serve you as a road map on how are you going to use the strategies to get the best out of search engines or any other medium. You need to know what your goals are for this campaign? What's needed to reach those goals? And, how you know the campaign succeed it?

Products And Services.
The best way to use search engine optimization marketing is by not hiding the fact that your business provides real product and services, that can help searchers to get the solution they are looking for. So, make sure this information is on your search results description area.

Training.
As a search engine marketer you need to have complete access to up to date information, because the search engine marketing is an ever-changing industry, and the only way you can keep ahead of your competitors is by knowing what's new in the search market and more important how to use those changes in your benefit. So, books, reports, or anything like that are just a waste of money, don't get me wrong there are many books that offer excellent information for beginners that want to understand SEO, and want to have some "quick and easy to use" tactics that still effective right now. And most free information available online is not up to date or don't tell you how to apply new strategies in a successful way. The best resources are the paid ones... I know, it can become a little expensive, but is the only way to be on top of the game.

Patience.
Like I said before you need to be committed to this marketing medium if you are expecting to survive, because without patience you won't last... SEO marketing is a long road to walk on, and forget about being number one for one of your main search keywords, because overnight success is not something that happens here, if ever did.

Website Usability and Design.
The main focus in your SEO marketing plan should be your site users, so make sure you do your best to provide the best experience to your online users. SO, make it easy to navigate, easy to find information, show them how to use your site, answer their questions, build credibility, inform well, make them understand why you, and have them come back for more.

Strategic Keyword Research.
This is just like any other type of marketing, but way more accurate. To run a good campaign you need to know the terms people are using to find thing related to your niche, then you need to use those terms to optimize your site or blog for the engines and for your users.

Analytics and Metrics.
If you want to know what's working and what's not, you need to be use to the term analytics and metrics. This is just the art of tracking every aspect of your marketing campaign. This way you will see which keywords are generating the most opt-ins, or the most sales. This way you can focus on the keywords that are generating a revenue. And tune the pages targeting the keywords with low conversion rates. Remember, most of the time is your site and not the keywords.

Tools.
Well, this is a key element that separates online marketers just like the source of information does: Marketers with the right tools, and marketers with the wrong or no tools at all. Having the right SEO tools in as your marketing kit can give you an advantage over your competitors.

Get Crawl.
It doesn't matter how good is your content, how nice is your design, and how easy to use is your site... If the search engine can't crawl your site, they will not able to read your information. Meaning zero or low ranking. So, make sure your website is design to let search engines crawl your information from every one of your webpage.

Content.
Today having quality original web content on your site or blog is more and more important. Web users want good content, the search engines use the content to make sure your site ranks on relevant searches. In conclusion, SEO marketing success depends on your content.

Links.
First, links is what search engines use to know how famous your site really is, which translate into better ranking. Two things about good links; it need to be from a relevant site, and the anchor text or description need to include your targeted keywords. The rest here is to get as many back links to your site as possible.

Social Buzz.
Become the an authority by using all type of social media or web 2.0 tools and interact with your customers, prospects, and create friends that know what you and your business do. Web 2.0 or social sites are a very powerful word-of-mouth medium. Use it, use it well, be ethical, succeed.

Reputation Management.
With all the social power of web 2.0, now messages pass on faster that ever, people have the tools to say whatever they want and very loud. Reputation management is about know what others are saying about your and your Internet business, and how to manage the positive and negative e-talk in a web where the users have the control, not you.

Trust.
Online, trust can make you rich... So, build trust in you and your brand from your users, and from the search engines, by applying ethical white hat SEO strategies to rank well on top search keywords in your niche..

Microsoft Innovating or Buying Search market share?

Is Microsoft innovating by creating a new business model for Search or are the recent announcements a new attempt to catch up with Google and Yahoo! in the Search market share?

Microsoft accounted for 8.9 percent of U.S. Internet searches in January 2007, compared with 54 percent for Google, and 23 percent for Yahoo!. It's not just the fact that Microsoft has less than 10% market share of Search, but also the growth of Microsoft's share in Search - which grew only 2.5% in January 2007, compared to a whopping 40.6% growth for Google, and respectable 29% growth for Yahoo.

Microsoft is wary about the uninhibited growth of Google, and now wants to change the game by introducing a new business model for Search. Can Microsoft change the game?

Three Microsoft announcements are significant to that end:

1. Integration of Microsoft search on Lenovo PCs (thereby replacing Google search).

"The deal is exclusive for several years, Microsoft Senior Product Manager Justin Osmer said in an interview. ``We are not in the business to lose money hand over fist, year after year, so these have to make fiscal sense to us,'' Osmer said. ``The Dell example is one where it ballooned to a point where it did not make any sense to play in that sandbox, so we let that one go.''

2. Strategic acquisition of Tellme, and potentially getting phone and mobile search marketshare.

"The purchase gives Microsoft voice-recognition programs it can combine with mobile-phone applications as well as Office word processing and e-mail software. Chief Executive Officer Steve Ballmer says that search on mobile phones will be one of the next battlegrounds between Redmond, Washington-based Microsoft and Internet search market leader Google Inc."
"They're (Tellme) using software as a way to help people get access to the information they need,'' Microsoft's Raikes said. "We think that is a powerful use of software.''

3. Rewards for businesses including "service or training credits" by encouraging employees to conduct search through Microsoft Live.

"As search evolves into more of a productivity tool, and revenue sharing becomes more commonplace across the industry, we are engaging in mutually beneficial partnerships," Microsoft said in the statement. The credits are believed to be in the neighborhood of $2 to $10 per employee per year.

The third announcement is perhaps the most interesting - can Microsoft change end user behavior on how they conduct search, and essentially pay users to search using Microsoft's search engine? This would bring about a sea change in the way Search is conducted today. The current business model is one where marketers pay Search companies to include their product or service information when specific keywords are searched for by end users; now, Microsoft is planning to pay users to conduct search using Microsoft's search engine (albeit, indirectly). Would the IT departments of large companies stipulate their employees to use Microsoft Search since they are getting paid by Microsoft? Would they curb employees from using other Search Engines including Google and Yahoo!?

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: MSFT) stock price has stopped a month long slide, and is up 2% since the announced innovations closing at $27.83 today. The investors have reacted favorably to the news, and believe in the potential growth of Microsoft in Search.

For now, Microsoft is potentially innovating a new business model for Search. Pay users to Search using Microsoft Live Search. And even buying Tellme to make headway into Phone search. Finally, creating a partnership with Lenovo and replacing Google. Is Microsoft trying to buy its way into the Search market through these announced innovations?
