Joel Comm Internet Marketing Strategies Took Him From A Regular Entrepreneur To Selling A Web Site To Yahoo, Then To Become New York Times Best Seller, And Now Made Him The Producer Of The First Internet Marketing Reality Show!
So, I decide to do a study on Joel Comm's online marketing tactics and collect all that information into a blog post. Let me tell you the study was really exited, me and my wife put a lot of work into it to figure out some of the best Internet marketing tips that we can get from Joel. I also included some of the best articles I found that can give you an idea of his expertise, specially on the Google Adsense subject, where Joel is one of the top experts.
Here are some of the Internet marketing tips and strategies you can learn from Mr. Joel Comm:
1.- Joel is a believer of building "Multiple Revenue Streams", looks like the Dot Com bubble from the 90's teach him a lesson, a lesson that many millionaires will give you, that if you want to make a lot of money you need to have multiple streams of income, it doesn't matter if you doing it online or offline, if you want the big bucks you need to set up as many income opportunities as you can. Now Joel is making money from books, affiliate programs, courses, content sites, blogging, advertising, public speaking, and consulting.
2.- Another strategy is that you need to position yourself as the authority of everything you do online this will increase the trust of your brand which translate into more income. Every time you visit one of his websites, or products landing pages you can see a big Joel Comm's picture at the top and bottom that is telling everyone that if you already trust Joel's authority you will trust the quality of his products and for that reason you will buy it without too much thinking, because you know is brand represents quality.
3.- When selling books or information products, you need to give your product a sense of originality and quality on the content and the presentation to get your infoproduct notice on this so crowded commercial Internet. And use strategic marketing tactics to a large targeted audience. The best avenues recommended by Joel are affiliate marketing, and joint venture partnerships.
Joel wrote an article about how good content can increase profits title "Good Content - The Key to High Revenue", here is the article:
"Good Content - The Key to High Revenue
By Joel Comm
I’m always yammering on about optimizing the way your ad units look so that they fit onto the page. I’m forever talking about putting the ad blocks in the right place and in the right format so that users can see them and click on them easily. I’ve probably spent hours in front of the keyboard writing about finding keywords and bringing up the highest-paying ads.
All of those things are important.
But they all take for granted what is probably the number one most important factor in generating consistent, high revenues.
Know what I’m talking about? Right... consistent, high quality content.
Now, if you’re thinking, “Well sure Joel, that goes without saying!” just head over to Google, type in a keyword related to your site’s content and see how far it goes without saying.
You’ll probably find that about 95 percent of the sites that that keyword pulls up are garbage. Maybe two sites on the first page will be worth reading. The rest will be stuffed with dull information that’s taken almost word-for-word from some other site long forgotten. Or they’ll barely touch on the subject and contain nothing of any interest to anyone. Or they’ll be filled with pages that contain little more than ads.
Lots of people have become pretty skilled at pushing their sites up the search engine rankings. They’re much less skilled at producing the sort of content that gets users to come back regularly without a search -- the sort of content that people actually want to read.
But having good content isn’t only important because it increases your traffic. It’s important because it increases your trust.
And it’s trust that gets people to click.
The reason that high-earning AdSense publishers get plenty of clicks isn’t just that they know what to do with their ads (although that certainly helps). It’s that their users trust them to deliver the content they want to read. And that includes the content that they reach through the ad links.
That’s why I’ll always turn down a high-paying keyword if I’ve got nothing new or interesting to say about it. Sure, I might get a few clicks but I’m not going to get consistent clicks, and I’m not going to get them for long.
That doesn’t mean I’m going to ignore keywords. That would be crazy. But I’m always going to be much better off with a good Web page using a medium-paying keyword than a dull page with a high-paying keyword. It just pays more... in the short-term and the long run.

4.- Another good tip for every infopreneur out there that don't want to be mistaken as a scam or fraud is to first provide quality products and collect as many testimonials as you can for you next product. Make sure you add your testimonials as part of your sales letters, also you can increase the potential of your testimonials by make them available in audio or video format if possible, but this is not necessary. This problem is bigger for those involve in the Internet marketing industry.
5.- He also recommends to avoid extreme bizarre Internet marketing strategies that use negativity to convince people to buy your product... I completely agree with Joel on this one because if you want to build a strong long term business brand and authority, you would want to have negativity to be your key to success. I know this type of marketing work and the Rich Jerk proves it, but you really want to use that type of promotions to create authority?
6.- Provide over the top customer support and if possible build a couching team to help your clients better use your tactics and achieve success. This will help you build a long term relationship with your customers and even give you another stream of income, by charging extra for couching classes.
7.- Be innovative and think of the future developments that can be done with today technology. Just like Joel Comm did when he so the rise of online video and Internet TV services, he when a step further and created his own web base reality show about Internet Marketing called "The Next Internet Millionaire". He make this possible with his joint venture partner Eric Holmlund and a list of top Internet marketing gurus.
Here is an article where Joel explain how to build online success by becoming innovative, the title of this marketing article is "Innovation -- The Secret Of Giant Success", you can read it below:

Surf the Web for more than about five minutes and you’ll start to recognize a pattern: there are a small number of great sites that do fantastic things... and a very large number of me-too sites that try to make money by doing the exact same thing.
Now I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with those me-too sites. I’m all in favor of competition and sometimes a me-too site can offer features that improve on the original. They might make less money than the original but even if they only make a fraction of the first site’s income, that can often be enough for the copycat site’s owner.
But when you come up with a brand new idea, you can really clean up.
I’ve just launched a new site: www.500words.com. The idea is very simple. I’ve put 500 words on a page and publishers can sponsor a link from that word to their site. The links stay up for two years, give traffic and provide a novel experience for both visitors and sponsors. For a slightly larger fee, publishers can also add their own keywords.
Within three days, 300 of the original words had been sold. I’ve also been inundated with requests for the script I used to create the site.
I didn’t sell those words because they were particularly valuable. I sold them because the site had created a buzz — and that’s what happens when you create a new idea online.
The Web is a very gossipy world. Whenever something new and exciting happens, word gets around very, very fast. Links are posted, emails exchanged and people start asking each other if they’ve seen your site. In no time at all, you’ve got more traffic than you could have possibly imagined. That viral marketing is the real power of the Internet.
Coming up with innovative ideas isn’t that hard. The idea for 500words.com was inspired by MillionDollarHomepage.com. I saw what I liked about that site, recognized where it was weak and came up with a whole new idea. I didn’t put up another sponsored pixel site — no one would have been interested in that — I produced something new.
As you’re surfing the Web, ask yourself what new ideas you can come up with. Make it exciting and innovative, and you’ll generate a ton of interest.
