India's got great talent and i'm a proud Indian

I was watching a show on television few hours ago on colors channel, and couldn't help but be delightfully amazed by the performances. This was a talent show where participants show off their skills in the presence of a live audience and 3 judges. This couple went grooving on the floor like flexible barbie dolls and i must say, hats of to the lifts they handled amazingly and exceptionally well. The hair on my hands stood, watching these two dance as every move had a twist, and with every move my heart almost skipped a beat. Lol.. i got so inspired, i picked up my three year old Alisha and tried the lifts with her. Luckily it turned out well! I wish the video is posted on you-tube, and you should watch it too as it was so internationally performed. I'll post it later once it out.

I didn't know we also had amazing rappers in India and the judges also seemed oblivious to Indian rappers. Hmmm... India is full talents and i'm proud to be an Indian! Jai hind! :)

Rakhi Sawants Swayamvar has been aired on NDTV imagine, yesterday 29th june

Finally the wait is over and thousands of Rakhi Sawants fans got to watch the dancing drama queen in a different avatar as she launged her show on NDTV Imagine last night. The show began with Rakhi waiting for the arrival of her 16 princes of whom she will chose a husband in the finale. She sizzled in a red and green embroidered outfit with matching diamond jewelery. All 16 potential grooms to be enter into the show in valor bringing with them gifts worth for a princess. One brought with them a beautiful white wedding gown and described it worth for a fairy who he has seen in Rakhi.. her face glows as she receives each ones gift with grace as they attempt to woo her in their best of mannerisms. 3 of them are picked by her as the ones she likes the best( they say "first impression is the last impression") so i guess she figures it out that way and pins on a brooch onto them(i thought it matched her jewelery)

The 16 finalists were short listed from the applicants around the globe. A NRI was also spotted amongst the 16 of them. Rakhi herself had planned out the concept, and for the rest of the weeks we get to watch them all under one roof where they will be put through a series of challenges, competing to win the hand of Rakhi but keeping in mind a criteria set by the dancing queen herself.

The reality show spots a contrasted Rakhi where she seems to have shed of that outspoken image and has projected herself as the perfect bride-to-be.

The show has Ram Kapoor as the host, who portrays a staunch business man and husband to bani in the soap Kasam Se.. His comedy skills or rather the clownish version of him was seen the show Jhalak Diklaja(a dance show) where he was a participant despite his bulky physique but a real sporting guy.. i was amused watching him throughout! hehe

Her not so blood related brother Ravi Kishan will also flock into the reality show to help his sister with her decisions as he puts all 16 to test, and every week one of them gets eliminated. So its going to be quite entertaining with some bittersweet episodes of the lot.

The heart pounding grand finale of roadies 6.0- Nauman is the winner!!

Oh! That was a heart pounding, struggle to win by the three finalists of the show 'roadies'. Today was the end of the tough hell down under roadies 6.0 and the winner is 'NAUMAN'- the guy has surely proved himself worthy/deserving of the roadies title and the prize money of course!

let me first write down what i think of Nauman, Kiri and Palak as they were the top three finalists-

Nauman Sait(m)- he was given a chance to re-enter the show through a wild card entry after he was voted out by the other jealous roadies, but he came back and performed every task with the right spirit and won the roadies in an unbelievable way. Charming as ever, Tamanna's(his girl friend) hero, b'coz he always sided for her and got voted out for her too. So down to earth, never had an ego, hardly used a foul word and always spoke polity despite all the provoking, the criticisms and underestimations. He surely proved his critics wrong and remains the most deserving roadie of 6.0. My heartiest wishes to you, Nauman :-)

Kiri Timung(m)- wild card re-entry too, he thought himself as a warrior, proved it to some extent by performing some of the tough tasks. The most bugging thing was was when he intended to choose Palak, a female, as his competent for the final task. He wanted an easy win but no, thank god Raghu and Rajiv gave him a dose of some competition sense before he finalized whom he would be choosing. In the final task, he was close to being the winner but hard luck, warrior :-)

Palak(f)- the wild cat/tom boy of of the show, who never lost chances to bully and beat others up! Always faked her cries when she realized she was getting no where. The most disgusting moment was when she fell to the ground feigning a head swing or something.. hehe.. She performed well in the tasks but lost out due to the politics she played, plus the language she spoke wasn't of appropriate sense esp when while, being a roadie! She forgot she was on TV, which was being viewed by a wide audience national and international. She wouldn't have won anyway no matter how tom boyish and strong she was! The task, i guess was set up, like as if, for a man to man battle.. hehe..

Now, for the grand finale task episode-

There were two tasks set up for the final day. Three finalists, Kiri, Palak and Nauman make it to the final. The first task was to climb the high rocky hills tied onto ropes of course, bit dangerous where the loose rocks could have come rolling into their faces but luckily no one was hurt in that task.

Kiri wins this task and as he mounts the hill, finds the 'hell down under' producer twins, Raghu and Rajiv waiting for him. The other two were stopped immediately and made to wait hooked on for fate to cut of their rope. They could have being praying and wondering whom could that be? Their fate being Kiri who was supposed to cut off the ropes of one them, he wouldn’t be taking with him to the finale. The roadies title and prize money were in his hands! He chooses Nauman over Palak after a tortuous challenge from the twins who literally compelled him to choose the tougher one as he couldn’t have an easy win, from a girl.

The second and last task, the most difficult one ever till today out of the ones i've seen on roadies 6.0. The two guys were chained onto a crane which had 15 kgs of heavy load to be pulled by them, walking about 20 steps towards the winning point on a slope. The guys really pulled, tugged, slipped, fell, groaned in pain but kept on pulling onto the chains. The whole scene was a bit heart-pounding all the time b'coz i knew i wanted my favorite roadie to be the winner and that did come true!

Nauman, was way behind Kiri at first, and at some time i guess he gave up hope. The camera zooms into his feet and its seems his feet or toes are bleeding profusely. He was in pain and i was almost disappointed because i didn't want Kiri to win.. I don’t know all of a sudden where and how some kind of force and passion and determination to win, empowers Nauman, and he begins to shout and pull onto the chains with all his might. Of course it was tough as they had chains on their hands, feet, neck.. but he finally manages to root out the flag from the winning point. I jumped with enthusiasm as the winner falls and lifts up the flag to prove his mettle!!

That was a close win between Kiri and Nauman.. but i guess Kiri's self-given title should be passed on to Nauman now, who is 'the true warrior' and the winner of roadies 6.0 :-)

PS. As soon as the final task pics are available, ill post them. Now, though Kiri didn't win, he is also considered a winner to some, he maybe, but i don't think as compared to Nauman! The reason is because the performance rates and mind games between both were much different. While Nauman played along the game, performed every tough task well.. Kiri, he preferred to be too quiet and hardly a performer, and it was his luck that got him in the final three b'coz of the votes from the others, and he was able to prove his win in two of the tasks. The amount of effort Nauman put in? did you see the final task??? hats of to Nauman!!!! :-)

Rakhi Sawant unveils Rakhi Ka Swayamwar- Rakhi's reality wedding show

NDTV Imagine`s new reality show Rakhi Ka Swayamvar. The nationwide search for the perfect husband will culminate in a grand wedding where Rakhi will tie the knot.

I can always expect this from the drama queen as she is fondly known as. Every where the lady goes her cheeky and honest mouth is sure to follow,but that's what Rakhi enjoys doing. When i watched her on the big boss show- season (1), i came to know her better as a normal human. Before that she was always known as the item girl, who danced her heart out on item numbers on the big screen, in bollywood. The almost complete insight into a struggling actors life on the small screen got the lady lots of recognition and sympathy from a wide audience around India and others countries.

Now what you see below is reality show and this time the Channal NDTV will help her in the search for her husband which i think is really a great concept to come up with. Rakhi's love story didn't turn out well when her boy friend Abhishek(not the Bachchan) ditched her for his career, when it was her(Rakhi) who had given lifted him to point where he is today. The then struggling(Abhi) actor, owes Rakhi a lot. She was already a well known item girl then.

The incident which was aired life on Tv where Abhi gets slapped by Rakhi on valentines day 2008 was shocking news. He had gone to her apartment with a large teddy almost her size and flowers, to make up after a fight and he chosen the right day. That was shocking news, yet we all accepted in our hearts it must have been another drama or publicity stunt of the drama queen!! Am sure the then madly in love man didn't mind the slap or did he, or was he part of the stunt? But oh, we just got to sit back and watch out for more hot news because the drama queen has lots to entertain us with! with or without Abhi.. hehe.. These stars i tell you!

I would like to wish Rakhi all the best, may she find the right partner and settle down.

Roadies hell down under, aired on Mtv this weekend

I had been watching the roadies show and every episode mind you, from from the start till the end. I admire those who are able to get the change and make it to this adventurous show. This time its the roadies 6.0, and the hell down under auditions was the best part of the show was going on so far. Raghu one the senior producers usually waits to chew on his prey at the auditions.. on who else, but the eager to jump into hell, youngsters! but this time it was double Raghu with his twin joining him for their prey.. they can break a tough gut person and make them cry like babies, yet that doesn't refrain from the roadies hungry guys and girls to land up for the audition's. The judges got to act as shrewed as possible to know which of them are the genuine or the fake and they've really got the courage to participate in this dammm tough show!

The winner gets to bag more than a lakh or how much money they've gathered at the end of the show, but before that there is much fun and adventure to go through. Every episode there is one or two tasks. A money task, an immunity task and a vote out. In the money task they got to complete a task given to them in order to collect funds which will eventually gather up and go on the be the prize money. The immunity task gives them a chance to save themselves from the vote out. Our whole family loves watching these shows which make you so excited.. and little Alisha too, loves watching, and laughs away like she understands everything.

The first episode of the roadies hell down under had been aired on TV this week and i was in splits at the great fall the yellow group had, flat on their faces. They were supposed to tie up both their legs and hands to each other, 6 of them in each group and run, hop, skip and jump their way over a roped wall. That's how they all fell. ha ha.. then crawl under a barbed wire tunnel just above the ground, and too all muddy covered. Then eat dry parathas and done! The green team won anyway for better performance.

The person to be voted out was Sufi who was out by 7 votes! seems everyone was scared of this handsome hunk, a struggling actor i think :) I remember watching his unbelievable physique.. oh yeah! the girls were disappointed and cried too.. so were the guys the ones to vote him out?? we will know that soon, waiting for the second episode.. next week

Ps. This is the same show that brought out a winner in Ashutosh, one of the house mates of big boss season 2, who then went on the win that show too!! read my label, reality shows, to know more :)

Fun and cat fights at the big boss house

Hahaha whats makes me laugh even right now, is the fun going on at big boss with Rahul Mahajan and Raja Chowdhury fighting like cats and dogs.. they were given a task the other day, and it had to be carried out by both, who dressed themselves like Drona, a charator from Abhisheks Bachchan's coming movie. The story: Good over Evil.. so Drona vr's Evil had to fight it out.. that meant Rahul verse's Raja.. But something went wrong and Instead of good over Evil, it resulted in Evil winning over good.. hahaha..

I cant express how i was in splits while the whole fight was on. Earths enemy won over the saviour! yeah, Raja and Rahul started out fighting with swords like in the movie but slowly they moved onto to boxing each other but all with fun, and Raja who is known to be very hot tempered and who takes to fighting for any reason, cought rahul by his legs and dragged him all aroud. Poor Rahul, he was so embarrassed but luckily Zulfi came to his aid.. finally both, Rahul and Raja hugged and ended the cat fight. It was an awesome cat fight i had seen on reality TV! hehe..

Rahul is our late politician BJP leader Pramod Mahajan's son and now he is a politiction himself!!! But hes a very down to earth and helpful person, has no airs like many others and he comes across as very childish. I must also mention that Rahul also cleans the toilets of the big boss house, and he doent mind dancing like a clown in his bath robe(he cant dance;)) He is nominated every week but maybe luck is with him for hes still in the house.

Raja is our tv actress shweta's ex husband, who is known to beat her while they were married which was the reason for their divorce. But he is also very friendly and has opened up lots since the day he first came on the show. Seems to win over his other housemates by his fun nature, for when he was evicted this friday.. he was missed, and the whole house remained quiet. Normally he is upto all sorts of things.

Big boss season 2 is quite boring and disapointing

I am a big fan of reality shows, currently a very big fan of big boss season 2.. but before i posted something about the show when it first appeared on air, i thought of watching the first few episodes.. was watchable then, but its beginning to take on a pretty boring twist.. at least compared to season 1.. big boss is the Indian format of the international celebrity big brother. Year before last, Shilpa Shetty landed up at the Big Brother house.. this year it was Jade Goody at the big boss house. The difference was that Shilpa won the big brother show while Jade had to unexpectedly, leave the show within two days of her stay, due to a diagoinsed cancer.

I was very excited when i knew she'd be staying along with the Indian inmates. I wondered what it would be for a foreigner to live, and eat Indian spicy food along with the others and even cook, clean and play childish games at the big boss house.. Oh it would've been quite amusing really, if only.. jade stayed back..

Rahul Mahajan and his two lady love/friends, Monica Bedi and Payal Rotahgi are some of the interesting inmates on the show. The blooming love story between Rahul and Monica, or Rahul and Payal? Sorry to say one of them was voted out on Friday! The other inmates, don't talk about them.. they all two carefull and alert this time.. I feel, they're wearing on plastic personalities all the time, because none is trying to open up and create a blast at the house. I mean, being locked up inside a house not able to see the outside world, who wouldn't want to go out of the way to have fun.. Sambhavna, a dancer does create some fuss, tantrums and that's what livens up the show. but the rest does get on my patience. Doesn't everyone have a different side, especially in different situations? But no, they're trying to be their level best, and having appeared on TV, all of them are very good actors i must say(with anger.. he he)

I think if they aren't going to open up, at least big boss should do something to bring out the different sides in them. The show should turn bold, spicy and lively!! Big boss do something please.. I think you got the season one to play bold games, why such childish games this time? I admired Rakhi Sawant in the season 1, for allowing us to know a completely different Rakhi, other than the bold one we knew.. A tantrum queen and down to earth Rakhi.

Which personality is about to impress us this time? lets wait and watch.. a long way to go.. wish to see Shakti Kapoor, Sherlyn Chopra, Jhanvi Kapoor and other popular people on big boss.. and yeah, am still a big fan of big boss:)
