Mark Zuckerberg's latest launch on Facebook,

Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook has something up its sleeve it seems but he's not revealing secrets before hand, at least not before its actual time for its launch. But hint is that its going to be a an app in the mobile space which means something awesome coming up for Facebook mobile users. And they would have to wait for it until next week.

I bet its a going to be a Facebook app for Apple's iPad and a specialised app for photo-sharing on the iPhone. With these new developments and launches in line, and i hope a surprise awaits all the Facebook users, not just the mobile users.

Obsessed with Ubiquity

Just a brief post this evening. I would take more time to write something up, but I'm currently obsessed.

Obsessed with Ubiquity.

Yes, sounds philosophical I'm sure; but in fact, I see endless classroom aplications for this crazy app from Mozilla.

Off to explore. Will be back with ideas tomorrow.

On Open Source OS vs Apps

The Open Source discussion continues with a reader commenting:
Ok, so we keep Windows, but lose the applications that cost money - use Google Docs, Gmail, Blogger, OpenOffice, and the rest. How often do we really have problems with the applications? It's usually the network or the OS, not the apps.

Think about the savings just from not licensing Microsoft Office.

I tend to agree. This fits into my general 'use what you need' philosophy about tech. If you are nervous about using an Open Source OS, then don't. But that doesn't mean you can't use Open Source apps.

In a way, there are two debates here. The first, which our reader noted yesterday, is that it's difficult to 'sell' open options in systems to a leery admin team.

But the second has to do with the apps themselves. And I think you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone who'd argue that you should pay money for MS Office as opposed to using Open Office and Google Docs. Even MS knows this, which is why they're putting their eggs in new baskets as of late.

Can Netflix API Affiliate Program Make Money Online or Mobile

By Luis Galarza - Internet Marketing Tips.

Can Anyone Make Money Online With Netflix API Affiliate Program? If Yes, How?

One of my readers from Make Money Online Marketing just ask me "if the Netflix API change a lot?" in my blog post title "Make Money Online: Netflix API For Developers", here my extended answer:

Not really sure about that question, I paid some programmers in India to make a 3 different type of applications 2 for mobile phones and another for the web. What I can tell you is that if is done right works like magic, really to monetize, with a mix of Netflix affiliate program, CPA programs, and Adsense.

The mobile apps already generating an steady monthly income, nothing really big, but I didn't use any type of paid advertising, just word-of-mouth and viral marketing strategies. Now the apps are been used by a lot of phone users in Massachusetts, Ecuador, Spain, Italy, and a few other countries.

The Marketing.

The only thing I did was text or SMS my familly and friends about this new application, and the rest was just story. Yes, that's it! Sorry, is not crazy super powerful marketing strategy behind it, just a simple text message.

My mobile application are targetting iPhone users and Andromeda phone users, here is a video that is reviewing an app closed to the one I have developed, check it out so you can get a clear idea of how your mobile Netflix API application can work and do:

As you can see is a simple but very useful mini-software that cellphone users love to have. Mine is a little more advanced than the one on the video, because it let users add their own reviews, watch trailers, leave comments, easy share with Twitter - Facebook - Myspace - Digg, see movie pictures, buy the movie at Amazon, or see releted ads from Google Adsense.

The web app is getting there making commissions here and there but nothing steady yet... Now remember that I only paid $300 per application, $200 for web design, and $70/year for hosting, which already got back.

In Conclusion: There is no excuse for you not to monetize in this huge opportunity, and don't let this big lies stop you:

- But a lot of people already have Netflix accounts.
- Which one to choose from.
- I don't gave time.
- I don't have money to advertise.
- Don't know how to promote the apps.

All of those lies and fake excuses are for loosers, and you are a winner, i know that because you spend time reading this article to learn the "how", which means you have the desire to make a change in your life. Now is just about taking action, and do like Nike "Just Do It!".

User-made Web 2.0 apps as a custom-teaching tool

Got a question in to Clayton M. Christensen and Michael B. Horn, the authors of Disrupting Class: How Disruptive Innovation Will Change the Way the World Learns during their Education Week chat this morning. Horn's response is pretty forward-thinking about the future of teacher-parent-and-student created Web 2.0 apps. This would be an extension of personalized teaching (that literally could turn on a dime to meet the needs of the student) to a degree hitherto unimaginable.

Do you think Web 2.0 apps are going to become the standard both for addressing individualization in learning as well as creating authentic situations in which students with varied learning styles and motivations can collaborate on substantive projects with one another?

Michael B. Horn:

In our book we project that Web 2.0 apps will play a vital role in the actual customization of learning opportunities--and a result should be exactly what you suggest in the second half of your question. We believe that facilitated user networks will begin to arise that allow teachers, parents, and students to create applications and learning experiences to help other students (and teachers and parents!) understand concepts in a way that makes sense for them. We know that we often learn best when we have to actually teach something; these user networks will provide that opportunity. We suspect that many of these applications that take off will do so first in tutoring applications. Tutoring is a huge area of nonconsumption and one where much innovation can take place.
