Oh!! We were in the middle of a roadtrip (never the best circumstances for looking great, no makeup on...) and Hubby turned around, took a good look at my face and said "You look beautiful. Beautiful!".
Compliments over the past couple of years have gone the route of "no, you look nice honey" while I complain about the puffiness of my face, etc., and the unsolicited comments were rare and usually more about how the outfit looks.
So his saying that I look beautiful and how he said it was magic!
