"So how many people did you talk to?"
I hated this question. When I complained that nobody wanted to join, that nobody wanted to buy, I was asked:
"So how many people did you talk to?"
Bad question. Why?
Because I had talked to a lot of people!
I didn't need to talk to even more people. That wasn't the problem. I didn't need to run ads and get more leads. I didn't need even more people to ruin.
What they should have asked me was:
"Exactly what did you say to the people you talked to?"
That was my problem. I was saying all the wrong things.
Most new distributors rush out and try to get more leads instead of spending a bit of time learning what to say to those leads. And when that doesn't work, they try to find even better leads to ruin.
So let's ask our new distributors exactly what they are saying. Let's check to make sure they have learned the skills. Because if they refuse to learn the skills and just hope to get lucky by talking to lots of people . . . bad idea.
You might want to ask your distributors to write down exactly word-for-word their answers to these questions:
1. What is the exact sentence you use with strangers to break the ice and get them to ask you for a presentation? But wait. Maybe we should do this exercise too. Why? So we can give our new distributors the answers they need to talk to people effectively.
2. What is the first sentence you use to start your presentation?
3. What two sentences do you use to get appointments?
4. What sentence do you use to get prospects to ask about your product?
5. What is the one sentence you use to close?
So go ahead. Write down your answers to these five questions now.
Let's do a self-check on our skills.
And if you send your answers to Roxanne@FortuneNow.com, she will send you my 180-page manual, "26 Instant Marketing Ideas To Build Your Network Marketing Business."
Looking forward to your answers!!!
