All the difference...

A reader writes:

I teach at a school that serves many students with lives that keep them from attending regularly, so the online stuff makes all the difference.

It's happening. Internet technology is breaking down barriers of time and space. 'School' will no longer be a 'place', but rather an 'idea'; and hopefully education will no longer be a 'certification dictated from the top down', but an 'identity fostered from within'.

These ideas and identities are personal. They are attached to each and every student. Education from within. That's about as grassroots as it's gonna get.
