Muslims praying during the holy month

Fasting starts at the breaking of dawn and ends at the setting of the sun... during the daylight hours Muslims totally abstain from food, drink, smoking and sex.the usual practice is to have a pre-fast meal (suhoor) before dawn and a post-fast meal (iftar) after sunset... preparations for the iftar go on at great effort as there is plenty of food stuffs to be prepared and table o be set before the call of the evening prayer(adhan)which is when the fast is broken by a sip of water or a date, followed by prayers.
