Large Painting Company Vs. Small Painting Business

On the Job: Cool head required for paint job : Columnists : Albuquerque Tribune: "There is an element of instant gratification in the world of painting houses.

It's a perk of the job.

'One of the best things about painting is the ability to see almost immediately the results of your work,' said Alan Cooper, foreman for Kevin Smith Painting Inc."

This is a really good article about the day to day stress of running a large paint company rather then a small painting business.

Having worked on my share of "new construction" paint crews I can tell you with all confidence that there is a lot more stress than profit involved.

If you really want to profit as a house painter you may be better off targeting small, easy to paint, half day to one day jobs. They are very plentiful and very profitable.

The over head is low and the profit is high! Need I say more?
