Give a Courtesy Call if You Are Going to be Late

If a problem arises and you can not get to an appointment at the scheduled time, call the customer and inform them that a problem has arisen.

Even though they may gripe a bit, they will appreciate the courtesy. As a general rule if you are going to be more than 10 minutes late, give the customer a heads up (they understand that things come up).

This little customer service tip will help you build credibility with your customers.
