Its too disheartening today as the rains have washed away my plans of going out as always, and to make matters worse i was down with fever but thanks to god it was just mild fever and i was okay by evening. But why do the rains always wash away my excitement and happiness instead of my tears when i depend on it for survival... this way i always leave things undone by the end of the day. Its not that i hate the rains bu but i dislike anything which spoils my plans ;)
I penned down this poem to lift my own spirits and for all of you who are enjoying the rains and deem it a blessing in disguise. Let me know what you think about my poem, and your suggestions are welcome :)
Its raining a beautiful song of spring
Its raining, i see a rainbow for me, awaits
crystal droplets pour from the heavens gates
the orchids, roses, grass beds are glistering
the blossomed scene, a dancing me, reminiscing
Its raining, i feel the warmth of the sun
its leakage of rays, in golden shower has begun
darling buds of may, my deep anticipation
the gentle breeze ignites my tender passion
Its raining, i hear wind chimes in the distance
buzzing bees, butterflies, the pleasures immense
coupled birds of paradise join me in chorus
serene and mellow, some lyrics so melodious
Its raining, i smell the crisp earths crust
the nurturing grass lands, the breeze airiest
crushed out of flowers in spring that bloom
the essence, the fragrance of rich perfume
Its raining, never have i savored, so tantalizing
a scrumptiously prepared meal of picturesque spring
ingredients of crystals, rainbows, sun rays and ecstasy
blended with fragrance, bees and blossoms in serenity

Waiting for the monsoons, but theres no sign until now!
Very bored as i'm not allowed to do a stroke of work at home being ill... i'm still on the treatment which is on its 4th month now and could take few more! Its nothing too serious but maybe for some it'll be surprising and those who know me very well had expected i'll be falling sick badly and all because of my neglectful self towards my health. The strong medication bothers me a lot and of course the changing weather. Sometimes its very hot and sometimes it thundershowers. Now you tell me how wouldn't this affect me? ;)
We were waiting when the monsoons would arrive but there's no sign until now, so we'll have to keep waiting... while the sun keeps shining and for the drops of relief to pour on us :)

When it rains, i'm born again!

I was expecting it would rain heavily today when i would able to enjoy the evening showers in harmony swaying to my music, but, the sun came up and spoiled my plans! hehe.. okay, actually yesterday it rained like cats and dogs for a while and before that there were thunders, as loud as maybe, nothing else i heard. I jumped from my place and ran to close my doors but the storm was tough, seems like i was being pushed and being ill, i could'nt handle the breeze all the more. Sand from the pathway blew blown into the house. God, it was too much to handle, but then luckily it started raining and the storm subsided. I was wondering what would be the state of the people on the roads. I know how it feels to get stuck in stormy rains! anyway, i sat down to enjoy the rains which had already turned to drizzles by then :(... so i was dying for it to rain today!
Along with enthusiasm for the rains, i am also excited for the mangoes which are in season. It's a belief that you should eat mangoes only after the first or second showers so that by then the heat from the mangoes would be alleviated and safe to eat or else, one would get boils and sores. Here in India the varieties are huge. In West Bengal the state when i live we can find the following varieties like West Bengal Bombai, Himsagar, Kishan Bhog, Langra.. lol.. funny names, i know! But you cant beat the juicy mangoes you get in India :)
I'm sorry this was a draft supposed to be posted yesterday, i forgot to! :(... it was cloudy today, lets see if it rains :)
