The Month of Mary

As it is May... many Catholics celebrate this month as the "Month of Mary." Therefore... at random I will be making various posts about Mary in various fashions. Everything from Marian Apologetics to Marian pictures.

So to kick things off:

Remember to ask the Blessed Mother for intercession with her Son, our Lord.

Annie Lennox - ♫ A whiter shade of pale ♫

I love Procol Harum's original version, but i feel when Annie Lennox sung this version she sang it more beautifully and gracefully and as i love female vocals a lot more, i've posted this video for you today. You can find the original on youtube.com itself.

Hope you enjoy both the versions and this video, as much as i do... and have a happy MM :)

Rosary for the Bishop

There is a new project going on called "Rosary for the Bishop." This is a nobel project and regardless of what "type" of Bishop you have... they need your prayers.

The site is very easy to navigate. You set up an account... pick a Bishop, and decide when you are going to say a Rosary for him. You can also place a "Widget" on your blog to help promote the project. The cool thing is that the website tracks how many people are participating in particular places such as the Diocese or Parish.

The website tracks everything, but is VERY, VERY careful as to not display any information that may identify any particular parish or people on the site. It does however display the number of people praying for the Bishop. If you look to the right side-bar you will see the widget for my Bishop, Archbishop Schwietz of Anchorage.

Please visit the Rosary for the Bishop and sign up today... if you have an extra Rosary to spare, please think about saying one for our Bishop Schwietz.

As for myself... there is a group of us that have started to say the Rosary prior to Mass on Sunday. I am going to suggest to them, that we have at least one of us offer a Rosary for the Bishop at least once a month. I know we all have our own intentions, but this cause is one that we all need to support. The Bishops need our support... as they are on the frontline in the Battle against evil.

Buy gold bullion, and preserve your money in solid

Thursday morning we saw a slight pull back for the price of gold, the decline was caused by Greek finances. This has also put investors at risk due to Greeks deepening debt crisis and their anxiety increases when it comes to risk in the market. Their main concern is Greece's ability to solve their financial obligations which has been the speculated main cause of the dollar lift, and the decline in the euro.

I guess we all know when dollars go up, gold prices sink and vice versa. On the contrary, gold as expected to rebound, is considered a successful method of preserving your money in solid rather than in just paper! So, its never too late to buy gold bullion and keep your money safe.
